Re: Towing 8K lb trailer, Air Bags w/Cradles or WDH?

The bigger question is bags with internal stops or not. I didn't get them, sometimes I regret it, other times not. I never really got a good understanding on how much they would limit articulation. Being in NV is as tough a choice as I had here in AZ. Sometimes I'm able to run pretty fast on dirt, ...

Re: Towing 8K lb trailer, Air Bags w/Cradles or WDH?

I run a trailer that is 7600lbs loaded, and I got the Airlifts with the internal bumpers. I don't need them to lift much when I use my Andersen wd hitch, but they level the truck and give me a pretty nice ride. I had too much air pressure at first, but now 17-18 psi does the trick when my camper is...

Re: Towing 8K lb trailer, Air Bags w/Cradles or WDH?

My dry is 7k and my loaded is 8500. I need airbags but BARELY! You might be okay if you have a good high end WD hitch with the highest bar type. Maybe. I mainly need the airbags when either not using the WD bars or hauling gravel or barkdust or anything but the trailer. You can always do Timbrens if...

Re: Towing 9K lb trailer, Air Bags w/Cradles or WDH?

You'll need airbags. Make sure your WD bars are the 1400lb variety. What you loose in travel is insignificant.

Re: 37s with overland extreme questions

I don't think you can go wrong with the Extreme Kit or anything Thuren. But if your truck is newer, you aren't trying to correct an issue caused by worn suspension, and you don't have a heavy load mounted above your bed, then I would spend my money a little differently. With a Roughly $2,500 budget...

Re: 37s with overland extreme questions

Having done all the mods. If I had to do it over again. I'd do it in this order. Rear track bar, sliders, front diff guard, trans skid plate, front springs and rear 1 inch spacer, boogie bump stops, 37s, PowerStop Z36 break pad swap. Then go from there... rear springs and upgraded shocks, wheels, re...

Re: Anyone have pics of Thuren front bumper on 14+

I went through all this. Best solution is a bolt on solution to the wings. BUT it wouldn't have much structural integrity. Just didn't seem worth it for the weight for something that probably couldn't take a strike anyway...

Re: Parksense Sensors

I removed the front sensors with the front bumper and never looked back. Never missed em for a minute and they are no longer annoying off road or in the rain. If you know how to drive a truck they are just worthless.

Re: Soon-to-be 2019 PW Owner — Question Re: 35s?

Took delivery yesterday! Already got to put the 4WD to work! 35s ordered, will be having them installed Saturday. Next I’ll be looking into White Knuckle sliders... Do they come out far/low enough to be beneficial as a step? They work as steps. My wife probably still thinks they actually ARE steps....

Re: Anyone have pics of Thuren front bumper on 14+

I've been eyeing up this bumper for my '13. A couple of questions: 1) What did you guys do for finish? Paint it yourself? Local powder coater? 2) Don't you wish Don would have an optional bull bar for some deer / brush protection? One thought I had was to have my own bar work fabricated and welded ...

Re: New to the registrey

Some more pics the day I put 37 x 13.5 on there on Raceline 17 x 9 x 20 mm offset. I did a little work to the rear of the front fender well and pinch weld. I cut off some of the pinch weld from behind the plastic fender well without butchering the plastic. I used a small Milwaukee Hacksaw to get in...

For those of you that already have a Morgan, Shelby or Abel Locker Bypass: There's a retrofit upgrade coming that will give you the ability to control your sway bar at will also. This doesn’t look like a mall crawler to me. You're right, it looks like light offroading. [emoji38] Sorry but anyway you cut it those bumpers have no better clearance than the steel portions of our factory bumpers. They're pretty and I'm sure they are tough but what's the point if you hit the same...

They look good for a mall crawler or very light off roading but it looks like you'll be hitting the same rocks and ledges that the stock bumpers hit. This doesn’t look like a mall crawler to me. Re: Toyo Open Country R/T vs Open Country A/T II

Toyo RT was a fine tire but didn't fit my use case. They aren't snow rated and if you sipe them they die early. Siped they are good on ice. I wasn't impressed with deep snow. They did fine in Moab but balled up in Oregon clay. Wouldn't buy them again. If i was doing an AT I'd do the Kanati Trail Hog...

Ideally I would like to add a safe to the lower part of the center console (below the middle front seat) in my 2019 PW. Does anyone know if one exists? I'm headed home from the two week expedition and I heeded y'all's advice, using tow/haul almost all of the way. It truly shines going through the mountains on steep descents with the engine braking. Re: Overland 1.5 inch Spring w/King OEM 2.5 Shock

Swapping the front springs out would also motivate me to get the Synergy drag link to replace the fubar welded unit the truck came with. I was thinking about doing this, but FCA will not reimburse because it not a genuine MOPAR part and not the approved fix. I didn't make that up, but what the deal...
