Re: Blown Bilsteins

The old Gen 1 4dr Monteros would blow out at 10K or so. Then Gen 2 ones would last 300K miles! What a difference. My Titans lasted 150K if I recall. So it would seem they have a mid range quality shock that is probably just under sized. Manufacturers always cheap out somewhere. For Nissan its tires ...

Re: Intial Impressions from a Noob

Some new ones; 1. Rear LSD when unlocked seems very tight. Gives me trouble turning on gravel, especially into my garage. Climbing my nasty hill and off-road its great. You can definitely feel this one, its no pansy. Wonder if any handling complaints come from this? 2. Traction control. Not got to u...

Re: Changeable Settings at Dealer

They were not interested honestly. They wont do the air pressure change, and it does sound like the idle control may not be part of our software because the transmission cannot except a PTO.

Sweet. Are you going to try to make the Moab PW event? Met another PW owner today on a job.

Re: 2017 Wandering/Pulling to Right

Mine seems really tight. But then I only drive big 4x4s and have an old Montero with 37s. My 2018 PW will drift right down the road over a very long distance, but given the vehicle, lift and tires it seems perfectly acceptable. You won't ever get sedan like alignment on these. Its always hard to kno...

Re: Changeable Settings at Dealer

Just know for Toyota and Ford the dealer can change all kinds of fun things. Even turn off annoying door beepers ect.

Changeable Settings at Dealer

Going to run by the dealer in the morning. I am going to have them check for the PTO setting, and lower the annoying air pressure warning. But what else can they change while they are in there? Is there a list somewhere?

Hoping to just start getting snow tonight. Been rough in the west. It can be that bad getting out of my neighborhood. Driving me crazy waiting on snow now!

Re: Intial Impressions from a Noob

Funny though the tail gate is light as a feather, the Titans was heavy, and like Fords could fall off. Takes a crane to lift the hood on the Ram though. Figured out all the lights on the way home tonight finally. Interesting how you can just leave the cargo light on all the time, even going down the...

Re: Intial Impressions from a Noob

Here is another "The Japanese might have thought this back in the old days". Put the Four runner in gear and the doors lock. You pull around to load up passengers and they are banging on the glass to be let in. The Ram lets you drive a certain distance at a certain speed before the auto door locks k...

Re: Intial Impressions from a Noob

This really seems to be more of a Japanese truck issue. They are complacent when it comes to trucks, and to there potential sales numbers and the dramatic profit margins. Its like old American trucks, no AC, no Heater, unreliable, no cup holders, no stereo......BUT by golly they will sell because th...

Re: Intial Impressions from a Noob

Picked up 130 Miles on the clock yesterday getting our trees. Snow was simply pathetic, so no chance to be the Prius recovery hero :( Oh yes, there was one at our trail cut off with a tree about 3.5' tall. They called it a "Prius Tree". PW looks so sexy even they could not complain about my Ca...

Intial Impressions from a Noob

Will post some more after we get back from getting a tree in the mountains today. Sadly not enough snow around here to make it a stuck fest as usual. :( If you are not winching when you go get a tree, you are not in the Christmas spirit! :D Anyhow, here are my first impressions; I was a timid driver...

Those are supposed to be Anasazi granaries or defense towers. There is an Anasazi T door in between. The idea is a new home built on a ruin.

Re: Any Ordering Advice

No, still got the LED bed lighting. Surprised though I played around with the switch in the bed and it stayed on the entire drive home. Maybe thats due to the bed camera option?

So more then just a temporary shortage if the build and price no longer has them.....When I built a 2018 it had them.

Re: Any Ordering Advice

Ok picked it up. Ordeal was Far from over though. The Ram Boxes were deleted by Chrysler automatically. The sales manager who ordered it no longer works there, but should have called me to let me known they ran out of Ram Boxes so we could have made some decisions on waiting or what have you. Ended ...

Re: MOAB 2018 - Apr 30 - May 6

There are things they could do and support with out taking it to that level. Maybe some raffle prizes or a ride along with an engineer or marketing dude. Had some fun with that with Mitsubishi and Nissan both. Despite the delicate nature of Xterras those engineers were crazy drivers...
