Re: Poser Shots in Moab

Yep, thinking that might be the way to go. Did that with my new 05 Xterra, went to a Nissan Event with it brand new. Even lead Steel Bender. Really want to hit Hole-N-The-Rock next year though, killing me not making it.

Re: Poser Shots in Moab

Funny after the fantastic news about Bears Ears being downsized and threatening less core Utah trails yesterday, I started thinking about some the great losses. Mercifully Utah citizens fight back and they have been less then most places. But it made be think of Escalante area lost trails, Gemini Br...

Re: Any Ordering Advice

So the transcontinental railroad has officially been completed. My truck is in Belen NM a 30 miles south of town, in transit. But are you ready for the punch line? Estimated delivery date 12/12-12/18. Come on, thats not possibly, 2 weeks from 30 miles away? Some calls are going to be made, will chec...

Re: Winch works 5 seconds or less

Others will chime in, but the Ram Winch has a very sensitive thermal cut off switch that normal Warns don't. Sounds like its gone bad. Many bi-pass it.

Re: 17 dual alternator install

Survived? Not well. I stalled my engine so many times back in the day I lost track, trashed batteries, trashed the cheap winch motors of the time, spent endless extra time winching waiting to build back juice..........And my personal favorite I had to hike out with a dead battery to recharge while t...

Sounds like a typical dealer. In other words they don't want to bother and don't have the talent to run some wires.

Re: 17 dual alternator install

I would go upgraded alternator if I was not getting duals on my new truck. Extra battery is really heavy, upgrading the alternator is easy, however expensive. My trail rig does great with a bigger alternator and one battery.

But if your ordering new....FOR THE LOVE OF GOD CHECK THAT 295.00 BOX!

Always blown away with the difference between a Japanese truck and American. You never see dangling wires on a Japanese truck. Its well secured. Wish US makers would adopt that.

Re: Any Ordering Advice

Sounds like mine is on the same train. They are telling me it averages a week for delivery to ABQ at this point. Obviously longer to get north for Dennis Dillon.
We should do some sort of wheeling trip together some time Kevin and see who has the nicer rig

Interesting, my wife drives a 2015 TRD Pro Inferno. It really is mostly stickers these days, but it gets tires on the pro at least. If the Rubicon was only large enough.

Re: Any Ordering Advice

Mine would have equated to 10K off. 9250.00 for the privilege of buying local. Still thats 2K profit for an Order Dillon would never get locally anyways. So 2K to place an order, with no customer cost acquisition? I can see why they do it. At 13K off they would be breaking even or losing money. If I...

Re: Any Ordering Advice

I called Dennis Dillon as well. Really awesome folks. Just told Melloy what they are selling for at Dillon and honestly another AZ dealer was the same, what are we going to do? They got with in 750.00 which is not worth having to fly up and drive back. For here it should be much faster, its a short ...

I am a Ram Box guy. I am a bit Lazy and like just throwing stuff in my bed. I also carry large items. I cant wait to use the Ram Boxes for work, and to store recovery gear. Last family members in last night let me know someone else pulled a Thelma and Louise on our road. Going to use it a lot.

Re: Any Ordering Advice

I would not ever do a top. Mostly this is a work truck anyhow. Never heard back. When will they learn, the Cool colors and right options are customer orders or a few very rare, savvy dealers that know what PW buyers want and won't trade anyways.

Re: Any Ordering Advice

Nope, they just called back. Said minimum of 30 days IF then to ship. Been ready to ship since 9/21/17. Railroads still backed up supposedly. Regional Sales rep found one in Colorado that is like the one I ordered except no cargo camera. They are calling, but dealers don't like giving these up. And ...

Re: Any Ordering Advice

Now there is a new code saying its been inspected and OK'd Could be a fluke as they don't really update the system much but sitting after being built for a couple of months makes little sense. Certainly did not take that long to inspect it. Beginning to think something happened like a major manufact...

Yellow death has always scared me. Maybe its not as bad for your engine as it used to be, have not looked at it in 25 years. But boy do they have a reputation to escape.

Re: Power Wagon Does not Make It

Part of the reason I chose the PW over the Raptor was towing capacity because occasionally rent heavy equipment, and the Raptor has too low a capacity.
