Re: The Power Wagon Curse

Oh my god, another day. I head up and road is clogged with AWD vehicles( including Telemundo TV or what ever) and regular pick ups. I cleared my driveway with the snow blower but a rear locker now BARELY gets you in and out of the neighborhood. We have to get the county going, or snow plow fixed, or...

The Power Wagon Curse

I am flat exhausted today. Went in and out twice and spent hours recovering vehicles from snowy hills and ditches. Everyone's holiday guests wanted to bail out before the next two monster storms and I had to tow them out of our neighborhood. Everyone in town is like " oooh, mountains look pretty let...

Re: PW stalls after refueling

Nutty thing is, my 1996 Montero has a drain plug, lol imagine that.( all Monteros did) To boot you don't even have to go that far, it has a hatch under the cargo area to access the fuel pump. Now was that so hard?

Don’t fill your gas tank with 35 gallons immediately before needing to drop it out of the truck if you can...
Oh that is funny. Has anyone ever had a fuel pump fail when the tank was low? I believe this is in the Murpheys Law Book.

Re: 2020 Power Wagon - Spied

I have to say, the 6.4 at least has enough torque to get me over anything with the current gearing. I even was able to wheel at high elevation in high range when the tuner crashed my truck and made low a limp mode. Not saying 4:1 would not be better though. I added it to 1996 Montero and god its ama...

Re: Front Diff Blow Up

Differentials are fairly tricky. Even many pros send them out to an expert. Not impossible to build, but like a transmission or engine internals not something you want to get wrong. Pinon seals are a common issue. My Nissan Titan had to have them replaced at 160K and 210K I believe. A lift causing a...

Never heard of that, but if you are talking Widow Maker on Metal Masher, yeh that would be bad. That obsticle is insane now. Got out of it last time due to snow.

Thuren bumper. Not sure if it’s “Ranch Hand” enough for a Texan, though.

Re: 2020 Power Wagon - Spied

Someone on TFL took out the Chrome with photo shop thinking that was part of the problem. And bam, it looks even worse if you can believe it. The last time I saw a truck design this bad was that swap to the soft, rounded look by Ford for Women in the 90's.

I kind of like it. Thinking I might downsize to it for retirement and over landing. Power Wagon is too big, and JL 4dr too small.
And after the post above I am gender confused :run:

Re: Perfect world PW

Engine and Transmission updates are going to be well over due after the big maker overs. With the monster torque and improving fuel mileages that Ford is delivering GM and Ram are going to be forced to do something sooner then later. I would not be surprised to see new drive-train a few years down t...
