Re: Performance out of the 10-13 5.7 hemi?

At 410HP with the 6.4 I think its less about HP, although meeting or beating the Raptors 450 would be good, its about cutting weight. Use the new engine blocks, aluminum body's, high strength steels, synthetic winch line, ect to make way for sliders, 35s and better power to weight ratio. And hit bet...

Re: G56 Neutral Noise Question

The thing I learned a long time ago is just how much more prone to issues stick shifts are. Then I took and automatic loaner off road while a new clutch was installed in my truck, and lets just say that was that. Ok, so not quite, I had a flat tire and there was no jack in the truck. But that is ano...

Hmmm, I had mine calibrated after the recall. But guessing mine did not have that specific recall?

Re: Fed up!!! (More dura trash)

Its not a QC issue on these. The sidewalls and belts are super thin. The belts fail the same way every time, a split under that fish skin detail. Truth is very few tires are made to go off-road. But when rental cars on cheap street tires go further then the mighty power wagon, its a problem. True st...

You want the NATO or German Jerry Can style cans. Harder to find but worth it. I carry those even inside SUVs. The stupid US ones that are EPA compliant spill everywhere of course. Because the NATO style has a vent they are forbidden for sale in places like California.

Yes Procal caused the issue. Limp mode was only in 4 Low.

Worth the trip to the dealer so you don't have to look at the red lights and warning light every day. Cost 60.00 for dealer to reset.

Re: Kill-switch for electronic nannies

So I could have sworn it went into 4 Low a couple of times. But I mostly observed no 4 Low ANDDDDDDDDDDD Limp mode. I could not give any throttle, engine would just provide enough power to keep rolling. I rolled up an 8 foot ledge at 13,000' that was tense. I was stuck in a mud pit in 2wd when I tri...

Re: Kill-switch for electronic nannies

Just a late note on this thread. But I experienced wheel sensor communication problems due to a Procal issue. You can always get it in 4x4 in an emergency by shutting off the engine, placing it in 4x4 and re-starting. How ever 4 Low is out with no speed sensors.

Re: Fed up!!! (More dura trash)

I bought a replacement for my first Duratrash that exploded and ruined a rim at Discount tire, and a week later I was getting out the plug kit. Seriously these trucks should come with tire repair kits. Coopers I dont like. KM3s I am loving. I almost called Ram and Goodyear, but they wont care. They ...

Re: Tire Pressures

I run 40PSI all the way around with 35" KM3s. And that seems really good now with some miles on them. On the Duratrash I tried to run 40 or so front and 35 rear but had to take the front down to 35 to avoid flats. I would say due to the soft sidewalls the Dura Trash should be run at 45 and 50, but t...

Re: Tires! BFG KM3 Verus Toyo MT

First I don't run below 5,000' in elevation, and the trip to Silverton goes up to 12,000' and back. So not ideal. Slow roads mostly 75MPH but some much slower.( 35mph near our land we bought) I have the system corrected for tire size with the Pro Cal. Seems accurate. I run 40PSI. With the Dura Trash...

Re: Tires! BFG KM3 Verus Toyo MT

Continued musings over 35" tires no with some miles under my belt. Other then needing to deflate and use a giant crowbar to get your spare put back....I still am blown away by how gearing, traction, shift points, stability, handling.....It sure feels like these trucks were engineered with 35s in min...

Re: Best Build Decision? Leather....

If they were not made out of glass and helium balloons they would be usable. Not as good as other off-road tires, but usable at at least. After a few nights like that you quickly realize it wont stop. Make sure to run 35PSI until you can get new tires. You'll get less flat tires. Even the dealer adm...

Selling stick gear is usually hard. But I could not get one for mine when a Duratrash popped and messed one up. Ebay might be they way to go. Probably 150-175 each and they would move. I love the stick rim look myself.

Re: A Tale of Diagnostic Woe

This actually happened to me at a Transmission rebuild shop. They subbed out the rebuild, the guy put in just enough parts to make the truck roll again(minus second gear) and returned the rest of the parts. The shop called the parts places and found out they had been returned for cash.

I would almost bet a 37” km3 would fit without modification.
Except then I would find out they run 38.5"

Re: Tires! BFG KM3 Verus Toyo MT

To be clear I had a flat on a Duratrac replacement with in only a couple of thousand miles, same sort of glass belt failure under the fish skin design. It had replaced one that completely exploded destroying a rim. I don't have any knowledge of the Toyos, but the resistance to puncture of the BFGs, ...

Ok, so got things rolling again. Ended up re-setting the Procal and then a professional scanner was able to clear the trouble code. The trouble code was for Speed Sensor Value not possible. Basically saying the info from speed sensor made no sense to the ABS module. Afterwards we re-did the tire siz...

Pro Cal Disaster 2018

WARNING!!! DO NOT buy the Procal for your 2018. After the first one did not work, they sent another. It stuck my truck in limp mode and have to wait weeks to get into the shitty dealer. No speedo, no odometer, no back up lines, over heating, no low range, have to trick into 4x4 by starting while in ...
