Re: Trying to change pitman arm, now hands all busted up

For removing the tierod you need two good hammers, no other tools are necessary. Take one hammer and hold its striking face firmly against one side of the pitman on the drag link end. Strike the other side with the other hammer as hard as you can controllably do. The hammer you're holding against it...

I just talked to commercial powertrain today and he mentioned jay greene for tuning the 545rfe. It was the first I've heard but seems good from what little research I've done

Re: Track bar

The axle is not supposed to be centered, it travels in an arc which would cause contact between the axle and frame if the track bar were longer. Once you drive the truck and the suspension settles in the offset will be a little less noticeable. The bolt shaft doesn't really need to be greased, you s...

Re: "Welcome Thread"

Just picked up a 15 laramie PW this weekend. Im here in Houston, came out of a f250 powerstroke. I think that I won't be buying another diesel. really like this 6.4 HEMI it dose use a little more fuel but that OK. I did purchase the life time ram warranty. Its hard to believe that they offer someth...

Maybe try a set of 1" wheel spacers for the front? About a hundred bucks and will likely be enough.

Re: Sway bar rub

http://wheeladaptersusa.com/collections/8-lug-wheel-spacers-adapters Do not weld steering stop extensions unless you desire the low speed handling of a river barge. If wheels of correct offset aren't an option for you right now then consider a good QUALITY set of adapter/spacers. Done correctly they...

Re: leaf spring squeak

Pressure wash them and it'll clean out in between and quiet them down a little, a dry film lubricant would help as well. I made the mistake of using leaf spring damping grease and while it made them run smooth and quiet it also attracted a ton of dirt and grit which over time turns it more or less i...

Re: I am ordering Diablo Custom tune with Cold Air??

I would recommend not getting a k&n filter, a dry element filter will perform just as well and protect your engine better. AFE makes a really good filter that is serviceable and will last. Between an intake catback and tune I'm thinking you can pick up 1-2 mpg or a little better no problem. When I f...
