Re: Have the day off - long weekend

Geocaching is a game for nerds. We hide containers (usually in parks, public land, etc) and share the GPS coordinates online. Other nerds go find the containers, and usually exchange trinkets/toys of nominal value, or collect rubber stamps. Containers are commonly ammo cans or Tupperware containers,...

Re: My new 2016 PW!!!!some questionns

I had wheel-to-wheel rock sliders custom welded for my truck, similar design to White Knuckle sliders. Pricey, but beats the cost of body repair and they pay for themselves on the first hit.

Congrats on the new truck and welcome to the forum!

Solid aluminum lids with spray-on bed liner on top would be pretty slick.

Re: White Knuckle Sliders-Shipping

Looks good! I had my sliders line-x'ed for 200, and they have held up great so far. Only bumped one of them on a nice round, smooth boulder, so no comment yet on the durability or touch-up procedure. I use my sliders as a step, and powder coat would have been slippery and would look like crap where ...

Re: Rambox Panel Warping

Will - that exploded view sure does help to explain/understand how the RamBoxes are built and the potential issue some may be seeing with warping. That top ABS part that the body color metal is attached to would appear to not have much structural rigidity to resist warping (maybe compounded by the ...

Re: Rambox Panel Warping

The lids on my ram boxes have warped a little bit, but not enough to cause problems in the almost-year I have had the truck. I'm keeping any eye on them, and if they get worse I may have to go down the same path you have started down. The ram boxes really work for how I use my truck, so I hope the w...

Re: 2015 pw Where is my front drive shaft grease nipple fitt

I'm sure you've probably already figured this out, but since your truck has a center axle disconnect, you can turn the front drive shaft by hand in 2WD without having to jack up a tire. The fitting is reachable with the shaft in just the right position.

Re: Real life tales of the electro-nanny

Last week I was screwing around doing donuts in the snow. The traction control came on and stopped my fun. I hit the button and continued to do donuts. The traction control kicking on definitely trigger a micro aggression and hurt one of my feelings. I'm not sure how I'm going to recover but I have...

Re: Attention Canadians: Fuel can question

So, I forgot to follow up on this, but Operation Gas Can was a success, though a bit of a complicated one. I couldn't find any Princess Autos along my planned route that had any of these in stock, but they were in stock at their east coast distribution center. I ended up having to make a hotel reser...

Re: Questions for DOR

I wouldn't be too interested in an identical, thicker bumper. I would be interested in a similar style, high clearance bumper. But as DOR said, the dies alone for a stamped bumper would cost in the tens of thousands, then he'd need a press big enough to stamp them. For the volume they could sell, I ...

Hello RACKMAN, Congrats on the new PW can't wait to see some pics, what color/options does it have? haven't had a chance to fully explore the truck yet lol. Did you make sure the dealer gave you the winch controller, hook, hitch reducer, and tailgate cable plug? It seems those are pretty commonly l...

If you're stuck, and the only anchor is 30' away, you're not going to get the chance to pull it all out and tension it on the fly.

Like said below and like I've told you, I've pushed both multiple times with zero issues. The safety feature you speak of is real, just not in these trucks aside from your one off issue. Interesting theory... The only flaw is that I am NOT the only one who has experienced it. NEXT PLEASE! Who else ...

This caught my eye on another forum, in a "post pictures of your grey Ram" thread. I didn't know they were making single cab Tradesman Power Wagons without winches ;)

Do you think your tape-peeling, panel-warping condition is exacerbated by living somewhere hot? Mine are still where they belong, but I don't have the hot sun beating down on them.

I've only changed my oil once on my new PW, but I think you may have a hard time getting a larger filter in and out. It's probably not impossible, but it's a tight fit in there.

Re: "ESC" explained

This part doesn't make sense. Traction Control System (TCS) TCS retards throttle input if it detects a driven wheel is spinning. The manual describes BLD as part of TCS, but BLD can't be disabled. How can BLD not be disabled when you're in 4L with the diffs locked? Locked wheels can't spin relative...

Re: Couple of technical questions from a potential PW owner

Has anyone had luck getting a dealer to reprogram the TPMS threshold on their dime? The factory threshold is not appropriate for the original tires. I'm going to get my TPMS set lower, and I'm going to try hard to stick the cost back on Ram.
