Re: Intermediate Steering Shaft/Upper Steering Coupler Question

Interesting. I’m chasing a dead spot with a slight clunk in my steering. I seem to have visually and audibly tracked it to the rubber boot area of the shaft but haven’t pulled it yet. Shop said my ball joints were good however he said only one had “less than 1/8 inch play” The uppers on my truck ha...

I think Olyelr is referring to Randy Ellis sliders and getting them confused with your Aluminess.
And you would be correct!

Re: Sliders

I had Aluminess sliders on my 2012 prior to purchasing it. I have scraped them a few times on rocks during some off roading like you describe. I recently hit my passenger side on a rock, and the slider is now making a noise over bumps. All of the bolts are tight, but I believe the sheet metal they ...

Re: Suspension Recommendations for FWC Hawk Camper

Ugh, I follow that guy on IG and he had asked about the suspension. Glad to see he took my advice and threw it out the window. I'm really getting tired of offering advice for it to be ignored. Zak is right. That might bite him one day. But I've never seen him do anything serious beyond dirt roads, ...

Re: No lights in the Locker Knob.

It is so odd to turning the locker switch and just have the lockers come on. Sure is annoying FCA wont address this 14 year old design flaw. JEALOUS! ! Yea its rediculous. I completely understand their thought process about having all of the thresholds... they dont have a choice on that... but they...

Re: No lights in the Locker Knob.

I’m working on building a locker bypass that will power and use the factory dash knob without a functional sway bar. If I’m successful you can return the unit you already have and I’ll retrofit it with the new wires and components required free of charge. I should know more by the end of next week....

And “level” is a bit subjective. When these Rams are “level”, by measurement, they tend to look a bit low out back. I have 1.5” spacers under mine, which leaves the back 3/4” or so higher still. I personally would not want the rake any less. When I get the Thuren overland kit, I plan on adding a sp...

Re: Antifreeze smell

Good idea. However, I have read about so many of these thermostats failing already. With low miles. Like there may be an issue with them, yet FCA will likely not send out any recall about it. Some of the instances I have read about, where guys trucks are sitting at the dealer not driveable, is becau...

Re: Thuren front leveling kit

Im not sure whats so confusing about that. It plainly states what lift height your going to achieve. So "Either 1-1/2" lift or 1/2" lift OVER the factory Power Wagon 1-1/2" front lift ." doesn't sound ambiguous to you? It did to me, until it was thoroughly explained. But thank you for that awesome ...

Re: Thuren front leveling kit

I am a little confused by the way this reads. I am looking just to level out my Power Wagon. Does that mean I want the 1.5"? I'm guessing so.... It just reads wierd to me. Re: Suspension Recommendations for FWC Hawk Camper

Yea, I would get the camper and load it up for a short practice trip to see how it acts before doing anything. Then start planning upgrades based on how it reacts. Maybe take it to the scales to get front and rear and overall weights too so you will have that info for them.

And keep us updated!

They only discontinue parts that have low sales volume for extended periods. There’s probably very few people breaking the winch cradle and it doesn’t make financial sense to continue producing and stocking a part that no one is buying Just a shot in the dark here, but I would have to think 99.9% o...
