Re: air bags

Hello again, How is the the proper placement of the cradles on the axle pad determined in relation to the bag ? I have a pretty good idea of how to do it , just want to see if I my thoughts are correct. Thanks . I think i pointed that out in my little write-up. Its a bit tricky, because as the axle...

Re: Diff Temp video

And ????? I see the stock cover has a "channel" for the oil, but our diff housing/axle does not have any holes in it (see white arrows in post by retired BLM rig , pic #3) to redirect/help send oil to the axle tubes, which is what i meant when i said "I don't think ours have anything like that." Do...

Re: Cooper or Maxxis?

Stock steel wheels. I know... it’s an 11-13 year truck but for illustration purposes. https://youtu.be/LO71Fb-Xw1E Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Thanks for clarifying. I have read about stock steelies all throughout the forum so I just assumed. Well, those might be stock steel wheels for a Ram...

Re: Good gasket for diffs?

I was moreso curious about the mileage everybody has changed the gear oil after buying their truck new. I've got 4K on mine and 500 of it has been towing horses in the mountains. A lot of my mileage is off road too. I'm sure it says something about break in time in my owners manual but I'm too lazy...

Re: Kill-switch for electronic nannies

It's worth mentioning that the locker bypass has a similar benefit as the BD 2Lo kit in that since the harness interrupts the actual lockers with relays the locker lights will not flash inop like is common. The BD 2Lo kit will stop your truck from saying it is shifting into 4WD when it isn't. Will ...

Sometimes you gotta take one for the team!
And goldamnit, now my tires are all dirty and I am gonna have to wash the ENTIRE truck again.

Re: Kill-switch for electronic nannies

Alright boys and girls, I had 4 nice high speed panic stops in the sand with with the abs kicking in as designed. No issues with the suplied fuse blowing, David. The best part was, the fifth panic stop I did with the magic switch flicked in the up position, which resulted in two large trenches dug b...

Re: Locker Bypass

What control arms is he using? Those are Danny's control arms over at Dodge Off Road. Nice, thats what I was guessing. I dont know of anyone else making them. I wonder if there is a big improvement as far as axle hop/wrap goes with those. The big bushings on the factory units have me skeptical.

Re: air bags

That has been my hangup as well... wanting to do it all at once. Thats why I have come to the conclusion that I might as well just do the wireless one system in itself, just for the bags. Its pretty straight forward. Then, when I have gumption to tackle onboard air, I will. Plus, I adjust my bags w...

Re: Kill-switch for electronic nannies

I won't be making anymore of these until there are some test results from the two that are out in the wild to make sure they are safe. I tried to find an inline Jcase fuse holder so I could reuse the factory fuse, but the only quality one that I could find was made by Littlefuse Co. and it comes wi...

Re: air bags

Im done dicking with using a compressor and hose to fill the bags (well, soon anyway lol). It just makes this really nice setup kinda halfass. I too only use them a dozen times a year give or take. But im done. Im gonna splurge on that wireless one setup I think. Push a few buttons on a remote and t...

Re: 2020 Ram 2500 Power Wagon spied

I liked the ride on the road. However, I'd go with the steel, better aftermarket support. No chance of the system failing. Not only that, the stupid offroad mode is like our sway bar, it goes back down to normal ride height if you exceed 18mph. My TrailHawk has 2 different offroad ride heights. The...

Re: 2020 Ram 2500 Power Wagon spied

That's literally Ram's press vehicle they loaned us for a while. Anyways, that one came with air ride. It was nice. We gotta decent MPG with it in areo mode too. But I'd still opt for the standard which is steel coils. Gotchya, that is what I was curious about... if it had the bag suspension, did y...

Re: New Shoes

Thanks. I’m actually a big fan of the PW in Laramie trim and wish they still offered it. I generally buy new and the new “theme” was all that was offered, aside from the tradesman, when I finally got my PW. Had they still offered the Laramie I might have gone that route honestly. You have a beautif...
