Re: Tires and such

Yeah, if you want absolute no rub at full stuff and turning, I would choose the 285's over the 315's just to be safe. Also, I dont know where you are from or if you encounter snowy roads, but 285's would be a much better choice over the 315's just for that sole purpose too. Only downfall is there is...

Thats all right, to each their own. We all have an opinion.

Below is how i ran it the last several years i had it. I liked that setup much better, but never got around to removing some of the lift.

Re: 4th gen winch on a 3rd gen?

It's a big off-road shop not worried about them being stolen lol and it's $900 each not for both Thats still a pretty damn good deal with the mount. The winch should work fine, although maybe in needs to be flipped? The mount on the other hand, that probably wont work. Im sure the frames are differ...

Re: Tires and such

That stock backspace is engineered for the trucks. Sure...with the stock tires. Yes and no. The back space properly aligns the Center of the rim and tire in correct geometry with the balljoints and within a specific steering radius. Taller tires do very little to change this positioning. Reducing b...

Re: New Rig

I figure some airbags and some 5.13s would solve payload and towing. Hard to believe how tall these trucks are geared stock with a double OD... Their just trying to play the MPG game. Stupid move IMO. I bet 4.56's would do just as good, especially with the MDS. Hell, the truck would probably stay i...

My mind went in the gutter when I saw the title to this thread  Those tires look pretty well spent, Will hahaha. I just saw a set of those Ironman All Country's in person today. Looks like they made them as close as a match to the KM2's as possible without infringing. Looked like a nice tire to...

Off on a tangent a little, this same magazine also has a small article explaining briefly why the pw has a low payload (not that we dont already know this).

Seems pointless ...as much as the "All Terrain" No no no. This proves it is a package worth buying (copied from the link above)... Designed for all manner of activity, it's no secret pickup trucks spend a disproportionate amount of time in the dirt, mud and snow when compared to other vehicles in t...

Also, I would talk with Thuren. If you have his coils, he will know what shock you need (at least for the front).
