Re: Airlifter 5000 Ultimate airbags w/ Daystar cradles '14+

I get it... the cradle is more to keep the bag from wanting to kick out to the side during compression, yet still allowing the bag to disconnect during full droop.

Hey thats my first brain fart of the day, not bad!

Re: Airlifter 5000 Ultimate airbags w/ Daystar cradles '14+

What size drill bit and tap do I need for the cradle install? That depends on what size bolt you use :D What ever came about of the idea of mounting the cradle to the bottom of the bag instead of the axle? Isn't there a threaded insert at the base of the bag that could be utilized for mounting the ...

Re: Boogie wagon take 2

Not really the updates I was looking for fellers  Is there a PS pump available that would take out that dead spot when you make quick inputs? It feels like turning the wheel too fast for the steering to keep up. I only feel it when I'm backing up a trailer and making quick corrections. I know e...

As long as your truck isnt leveled, it should be close. Probably a little low out back.
It's closer to level than stock, I have Thuren 1.5" coils up front but there is still a slight rake, maybe 3/4" higher in the rear.
Yea, it will definitely be sagging ass then.

I have never even sat in the passenger seat of the truck lol. I am pretty sure that sticker was already removed when we took delivery of the truck but who knows. I'll install the bags and see how it goes. Thanks for the reply! Well, to correct myself it may not have been an actual sticker. Cant rea...

Re: Airlifter 5000 Ultimate airbags w/ Daystar cradles '14+

Yea I took the spacer out per Tankerzak’s recommendation and everything still works great. And I gained back the inch of compression, which was a noticeable loss. Abnormal wear? Pffffff, guess I would have to look them over because I never really have. I will say, the trip up to the UP and back las...

Re: Airlifter 5000 Ultimate airbags w/ Daystar cradles '14+

I am looking to add a Four Wheel Camper Hawk to the bed of my truck for an upcoming trip. It weighs right at 1000lbs. Has anyone run that kind of payload with the factory rear suspension setup and if so how badly did it sag? I am wondering if I should bother with the Airlift bag setup for a payload...

If you break them up, I would probably be interested in one of them for a spare tire.
Thanks, but I'd rather keep them together as a set.
Totally understandable, just thought I would throw that out there!

Good luck with the sale!

We have to remember that the ZR2 towing comparison was made to the manual 2008 PW with the 5.7 and not the newer 6.4... :secret:
I noticed quite a bit of difference in towing ability between my '13 and '14
An auto 6.4... tow better than twinsticks twinstick 5.7?! Pfffffffffffffffffff.

Re: Bouncing Problemos

I still have yet to figure out why some trackbar bushings wear out so fast. I think almost every early death one was from Moab, minus two exceptions I think, which makes sense with all the chassis movement, dry steering, potentially heat saturation. But then my truck has been like Lee’s I’m averagi...

Probably a BFG because it'll actually be the size of a 33" Toyo.
Im curious, what does your 37” RT’s measure?
New they were less than 1/4" under 37". They have 24k miles on them now which is probably where the 37" BFG would be dry rotted, measure 32", and need to be replaced.
