Re: 2018 Power Wagon Brake Issues

The lowest gear we have in the 66-RFE is Reverse 4.44:1 Low range - down hill - reverse - the brakes don't have a chance! Rev 4.44 1st 3.23 2nd 1.84 3rd 1.41 4th 1.00 direct drive 5th 0.82 overdrive 6th 0.62 overdrive Imagine how much better the new PW's would be off road and towing, and how much l...

Re: Good gasket for diffs?

Seven time. The manual states to change the oil every six months or when the computer tells you, whichever comes first. From page 754 from the owners manual: 2500 - 3500 Models: Under no circumstances should oil change intervals exceed 8,000 miles (13,000 km) or twelve months on 2500 - 3500 trucks,...

Re: Good gasket for diffs?

I change my engine oil even more frequently than that (< 2k miles). Here's a riddle for you: I ordered and purchased my Power Wagon brand new in 2014 I've been following the recommended oil change frequency... I use PUP in my engine... I never manage to get 2000 miles on between oil changes... How m...

Welcome! That color is beautiful! I'm sure it looks even better in person. Thanks. Ironically I hated maroon growing up but it has become one of my favorites recently. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Funny you say that, I felt the same way when I bought my Power Wagon, the only thing I didn't li...

Re: New Shoes

Thanks. I’m actually a big fan of the PW in Laramie trim and wish they still offered it. I generally buy new and the new “theme” was all that was offered, aside from the tradesman, when I finally got my PW. Had they still offered the Laramie I might have gone that route honestly. You have a beautif...

Re: New Shoes

From the literature for the Power Wagon model verbatim:

Gross Axle Wt Rating - Front(lbs): 4700
Gross Axle Wt Rating - Rear(lbs): 6200
Axle Capacity - Front(lbs): 5250
Axle Capacity - Rear(lbs): 6010

...the front rating is lower than the capacity...

Keeping the stock tire size is the simplest and best way to maximize heavy towing performance! Many people aren't aware that the OEM load range D tires have a higher rated load capacity than the '14+ Power Wagon rear axle.
