Re: Going without TPMS Sensors

One other thing. I've changed sensors twice (I have a '13). Once on my stock wheels just because they were end of life. There is a battery in each sensor that eventually dies, like any battery. They didn't all go out at once, so the cost was spread out. And then when I bought the new rim/tire combo....

Re: Going without TPMS Sensors

Yeah, I find the TPMS helpful when the seasons change. I take a peek to see if I need to up the pressure in any of the tires without having to get a guage out. Also, I have Alpha OBD in addition to Procal, but have never had to reprogram after I did the low pressure setting on Procal, regardless of ...

Re: Going without TPMS Sensors

I can't speak to passing inspection. When I ordered new wheels / tires, I just ordered them with sensors in and tires mounted and balanced. I used my AEV Procal to set the alarm at a min of 35 psi. That is what I run my rears at, so no alarms until I air down for off road. Sent from my Moto Z (2) us...

Re: Maple Offroad Sliders

Lol. I put mine on all by my lonesome. With some careful balancing on my 3 ton floor jack. I did feel quite beat up afterwards though. I had to take a grinder to the top of 2 front mounting " flanges" and 4 front inner mounting plates. I had contact with the floor tub. I think all the gens and diffe...

Cape Lookout Next Year

Anybody interested in a truly rustic outer banks experience in Cape Lookout National Seashore. Apparently Portsmouth Island got pretty f'd up when Dorian came through. But the cabins there seem nicer. Hoping they are ready next year. This inquiry is for anybody interested in a rustic cabin experienc...

Ok. Back from OBX. Do I have any interest in late August day trips to RC? Not objectionable to Sept trips too. Just want to guage August potential.

Re: Route 12 South

When we weren't out 4 wheelin' on the beach we were out in the Ocracoke inlet / Pamlico Sound area on a 24' Carolina Skiff rental. This brings a whole other dimension to the trip. There are beautiful sand bars that appear at low tide that you can pull up to. We found a platform to jump off and a swi...

Re: SimonandSimonBeast Build

Thanks guys. Wheels turning now...in my head that is. Would be a sweet spot for an air tank. It would be an easy run from my compressor. I would like to put remote air connections at the front and rear of the truck, too.[emoji848]

We could always do 2 runs. Ace and I were originally thinking Aug 22nd or 29th. I am not objectionable to doing another one on Sept 12th. Gotta get these mods thoroughly tested[emoji123]
