Re: Vibrations

Yeah, I just changed all fluids and all looks good. I did a couple of runs and it gets rough feeling above 115mph. Not that I do that everyday but still would like to know if for whatever reason you gotta run wide open for any length of time. We can hit 115mph? Didn't think they would get up that h...

Re: Wel, what do you know............

What did you put in your G56 for fluid ? I can't quite remember the name of it---I think it is called Royal Purple Syncromesh? It is there reqommended fluid for automatic trannies; and our G56 and transfer case call for it. I have had it in since before deer season and find it works well. It shifts...

Re: Wel, what do you know............

I am a Royal Purple believer now. I ran it ocaisonally as engine oil, along with Mobile 1 or Quaker State full synthetic. They all seemed to do a good job. What made me a believer was last year I changed out the oil, both diffs, my Transfer case and G56 tranny to Royal Purple from stock fluids. I in...

Re: Thinking about...

I am running 35's and get 16 mpg (Imperial) if I take it really easy on the highway. Thats about 13.5 U.S mpg. I would never go to a truck with lesser gears---the 4.56's are perfect for 35's with the G56.

Re: 6 Speed (stick) owners, couple of questions

Just checked mine. It engages between 1 and 2 inches from the floor as yours does. This is where it always has. ( it now has 38,000 miles on it.) I have been rev matching my downshifts for almost 30 years on all my bikes and cars, and have never had to put a clutch in any of them. 2 keys to long clu...

I am very happy with my Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ's. Very good in the mud and rocks. Fairly quiet on the highway. They are almost identical to the Cooper STT. (Cooper is parent company of Mickey Thompson)

Re: Time for Brakes

Just a quick update. Have had the slotted and dimpled EBC rotors and Yellow Stuff pads on for about a week now. I highly recommend them. Stopping power if vastly superior to stock, and pedal feel is way better.

Re: Front axle hop question... 2005 Power Wafon

Cactus Red is at 8000 lbs as a daily driver, and I run 37 front, 35 rear on 35" Toyo ATII E-Rated tires. At that pressure, they are flat on the ground with even edge to edge wear. You might want to check the tires to see if you are getting even contact. If you ran them at max pressure for an extend...

Re: Repair your rear door wires

So, how much $$$ was the dealer part ??? Just curious. Time is money & i suck at wiring. Seems like such a small space that i would be dropping the F-BOMB in VERY short order. I bought one the first time it happened---it was around $180 I think. When I saw what the issue was, I asked for the ...

I just had to to this exact same thing last week for the second time. The first thing that has gone both times was the power door lock. Spot on explanation and pictures---this is exactly the way I fixed mine.

I got the Yellowstuff pads with the slotted and dimpled sport rotors. Love them. Pulled a 9,000 lbs camper around with them. No problems. Stay away from drilled rotors. Time for Brakes

It is time for brakes on my truck. It just turned 65,000km (40,000 miles). I am looking at EBC rotors, with EBC Yellowstuff pads. Anyone had any experience with this setup? Or any recommendations?
Thanks.
