Re: TACHOMETER

Just to follow up-I found this repair on UTube https://youtu.be/ufQ1t4eOwkM It seemed to make sense based on what my Tach was doing. It took an afternoon to do and the Tach is working again. I'll see if it holds up over time or if the Tach is still intermittent.

NV Camping since 2006

I’ve been watching these idiots explore old abandoned underground mines on Utube. I thought “I’m just as big an idiot as them, I could do that”… I couldn’t get any of my non-idiot friends to buy in, so off I went to a spot 20 ENE of Walker lake NV. There are lots of mines in the area and I found one...

Well the tach worked like a-charm today. I hate electric gremlins. Thanks for the info on the possible cause.

TACHOMETER

The Tach on my 2006 started behaving erratically and/or not working at all. Any ideas? And I don't want any guff from the old timers 8-)

Re: New Shoes

Well after a year and a half of retirement Russ I can report that IT"S GREAT!....I'm slowly fixing everything I neglected over the years. I just donated $ to the forum pot and want to say thanks to all the guys making this forum an ongoing success. And I restored that Scout 20 years ago

New Shoes

8-) Hi gang. Been hiding out in retirement, but one thing that hasn't changed- I Still love Banging Gears in the Old Dinosaur...Put new shoes on finally. I hope these Toyo's 285/75's hold up as well as my KM2's did with the weight of my cabover pop-up. I sure like the way they look anyway. I had to ...

Checking In

I had better check in before some of the old timers think I’m a pile of bones in the Owyhee Desert. I just spent my first year retired and went over 39k miles on my PW/RV. It is a Dinosaur and will be 12 in April. All but 2000 of those miles with a Ton of popup camper and gear on the back. I took t...

Re: Torn Bicep Muscle

First time to the forum in a while, and I see we old 3G owners are all falling apart. Time fly's, you'll be out working in the garage tomorrow I bet. I had to have emergency hernia surgery 2 months ago, my right hip and shoulder hurt too...retirement is hard on the old bod. :D

Nice score....I went on the Rubicon Run in this friends jeep. It's/he has been doing it for over 10 years. Not fancy, but well built. I drove half and was super impressed where you can take a well prepped jeep. :patriot:

Cell phone reception at home help

My cell phone works everywhere at home, except the most important room, my basement Man Cave! If I just step out the door into the backyard, it works…15 feet into the room at my computer desk, no reception. So can I solve this without spending $$$.00 - i.e. Outside and inside small antennas connecte...

6.2017r.jpg Loving my retirement, even hernia surgery 2 weeks ago can't keep me down :)..Rust was right, I've been so busy, I'm loosing weight like an anorexic hooker. I'm putting this thread to bed finally. Got the winch bumper mod finished on the 70 Scout 800, all bolt on, no drilling. Whole up g...

Re: Firestone Vs AirLift

For a PW that's not lifted I can recommend Firestone. Had mine 10 years now. They have been squished and stretched a lot. I did go with the Daystar cradles a couple of years ago. I went with the on board compressor and dual controls. I use it to level the Truck for camping and for scary side slopes....
