Re: 2019 1500 Info Release

I was a master tech for Nissan for many years, I remember a couple years back this new Altima came in that would intermittently shutdown the engine while driving. After a hell of a diagnostic headache it turned out the passengers vanity mirror/light wiring was nicked by one of the screws that held ...

Re: 2019 1500 Info Release

Here comes the 48 volt electrical system. All I want is a simple truck with simple up-grades. Not some rolling tech mobile. Guess you will be buying used 1970's trucks from now on :poke: Tech is here..embrace the gadgets :secret: The more stuff you have. The more it owns you. I'm slowly de-teching ...

Here comes the 48 volt electrical system. All I want is a simple truck with simple up-grades. Not some rolling tech mobile. Then keep driving your '08  I am! With the new tech. You better buy the extended warranty. Leave your sunroof open. Have some rain dripped down on your touch screen. That...

Re: Transmission issue.

Back in the old DT days. It was recommended that we use the OEM tranny filters instead of the aftermarket filters. The aftermarket filters had a number of different issues. Guess this never never got fixed over the years.

Re: Dodge Off Road brand reliability

Having a vendor come in and work though issues on a forum? Its NEVER happened before that I have witnessed. The credibility from this thread for the vendor is significant to me in considering future purchases. :cash: The 370Z forum. Most of the vendors there will bend over backwards to help. Of cou...

Ram moving back into the states

VP Pence said that Ram is relocating back to Mich. Bringing 2,500 jobs with it. All because of the tax cuts. https://www.google.com/search?source=hp&ei=-4dYWsajJcuT_Qa9gKDgAg&q=ram+moving+back+to+michigan&oq=Ram+moving+back+to+mich&gs_l=psy-ab.1.0.33i21k1.2192.18459.0.21656.24.23.0.0.0.0.83...

Re: Dodge Off Road brand reliability

I'm not 100% sure, I know there have been issues getting our arms to work with Amp steps but I don't think anybody has asked about using them with White Knuckle sliders. I'll try to look some pics up and see. It's hard to make all of this stuff fit together sometimes, but if there is a way to do it...

I carry a Bubba rope too. I seen a guy pull a front bumper off a old 1977 ferd f150 on time. The f150 had a bush guard mounted on the front with tow hooks mounted to the bush guard. The f150 was buried up to the frame in mud. His front tires up against a buried pipe line. To get out....

If you guys wanted to see some real drama on a forum. You should have read about Forge Performance and a GT-R owner going at it. :jawdrop: It covered 4 forums.

Re: snorkel guys .. need your input

I have one on a 3G. The wind noise is a little more. Looking in that direction. The pillar looks thicker. Scraping snow and ice off the windshield takes a little more time. Because you have to pull it to the side, then down.

Don't use facebook. The one company I worked for. Didn't want us on it because of security concerns. It's what happens when Homeland Security is watching over your shoulder. So I have never signed up for it. And have no desire to.

Re: Steering issue

Could be steering box. Mine did something like that when it went bad in Moab. It was hard to turn left, but easy to turn right. Plus it had a dead spot at dead center. It wouldn't turn the wheels until you turned the steering wheel 2 inches in either direction.

Re: Recovery gear questions!

What type of recovery equipment you need depends on where you go. If you live someplace like Moab. A Pul-Pal might not be useful. But if you live where there is little trees, soft soil, and hills. Yeah, the Pul-Pal would be worth it's weight in gold. If you're on a hill that is hard soil, but greasy...

I have a 60" Hi-Lift Extreme mounted in the bed. Have all the extras to go with it. Have the big Pul-Pal sitting in front of my tool box. And everything else you have listed. Plus an ax and a short shovel. Haven't used the Pul-Pal. But it's there for insurance. Figure if I take it out. That will be ...
