Re: Rear Diff Bearings Already

So, if oil level was at proper "factory height", & there is no obvious wear in ring gear or pinion, how would this be possible ? Did previous owner do some water crossings ? I think i'd ask about the fluids condition & level, if they inspected it. Keep us posted please. I've seen brand ne...

Their thought process was probably to get rid of moisture inside the tubes but i think welding them solid & just drilling some tiny weep hole would be better ?
That would be the proper way of doing it. The weep hole would have to be about 1/8" diameter. And it would get plugged with mud.

I'm seeing that on my factory rock rails, too.
Get someone to weld that gap up.

Re: New Rear Bumper?

That thing looks almost as bad as my POS Fusion bumper. Does it have zero gusseting behind a welded seam where the clevis mounts are attached, too?!? The base metal is much thicker than stock, but if I didn’t have to pay an exorbitant shipping cost I would have sent it back. As far as looks g...

Is Shelby is still a member? I have one of his kits and have a question
He hasn't been on for years. He sold everything to someone else, and they folded. So now it's no one. :(

Re: Camper/Toy Hauler Advice

Well... i have lots. You can put a generator on anything. Mine is on a pull out back bumper. Water tank isn't as important as grey tanks. 60 gal plus water tank and a grey water with seperate galley tank is super nice. Toy haulers have wierd configs. If you don't need that don't get one. You can ge...

Aluminess sucks, sorry.
What's your experience with them?
Apparently they move up and down when you use the winch.

Re: New Rear Bumper?

The double fairlead sucks. If there is any extra clearance around the mounting holes between the bumper and frame. Everytime you use the winch. The bumper will move up or down. If you have lights mounted on the bumper. They will be off of their aim. Either pointing up or down from where you had the...

Re: Death to Duratracs

A semi tire blowout always concerns me when I’m near them on my bike. Even if it doesn’t take you down, the giant chunks of rubber would hurt like hell! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I've been behind a couple of them when they blow out. Nothing like watching gators fly over you, and you're dod...

Re: Fed up!!! (More dura trash)

I have said this before, I think the manufacturers tires that are on many new vehicles are either made to a different standard or they are blems that they buy in LARGE quantities to get huge discounts. Vehicles that we bought new that had tire problems of one sort or another & they only last half a...

Welcome Rusty.

I'm a new PW owner myself. Lots of knowledge on this site and these guys are great at sharing it.

The "get rid of your duratracs" hype is real. I didn't think too much of it but had 3 flats in 2 months with one tire ruined.
 I'm an OG here with over 4,000 posts.
