Re: Sway and oscillation

I installed a new set of 35" Toyo MT's back in June. Ever since, my PW feels squirrelly. The lower the air pressure, the better they feel to a point.

Re: Power Wagon mileage thread

2008 with 94,000 miles. At about 30,000 miles. I went with RCV axles, DynaTrack freespin hubs, Carli ball joints. Before that, I went with a new T style steering linkage. Issues. The exhaust manifold bolts on the right side. The clock spring in the steering wheel. Idler pulleys. One tenser pulley. S...

Re: Trackbar or other popping sound

Have someone start the truck and wiggle the steering wheel back and forth. While you are looking at all the suspension points. Pay attention to the trackbar mounting points. Also check your u-joints and ball joints.

You went from the Y style to the new T style linkage. Did you use OEM parts, or parts from Rock Auto?

Re: Towing a smaller 5th wheel. Issues to be aware of?

You have to watch out for the top of the bed on the truck. Make sure you have enough clearance. One guy, can't remember who. Damaged the bed and the camper when he made an off camber turn.

Anybody ever deal with this place? Who makes their parts? This deal seems too good to be true. 4 ball joints for $40?

Re: Idler pulley & power steering fluid

The idlers on a 3G is common. I've replaced mine 3 times in 93,000 miles. They don't like to go swimming off road. I've replaced my tensioner once, at 80,000 miles.

If you have no lights for the locker knob and swaybar disconnect on the dash. Chances are that your smartbar has died. That's what happened to mine. Had to get another smartbar.

Re: OE part online sources

Welcome to the forum. One of the first things that you normally can't find is the winch mounts. Those become hens teeth quickly. The factory for the most part stocks items for about 8 to 10 years. Smartbars list for around $2,700. Mine went bad on my 08 and the factory no longer had it in ...

I put the Carli ball joints in mine. Have 60,000 miles on they and they are still tight. Which ever ball joints you get. DO NOT get ball joints that are splined. You will ruin the hole for the next time.
