Still check once in awhile. Not a lot of new stuff regarding 3rd Gen trucks.
Just under 75,000 miles on my truck.

Re: Setting locker air gap
I believe the gap is set in the unlocked position, but have no idea what it's supposed to be. Your best option is to hardwire the lockers. You can unplug the switch and live with the SERV4WD light or get a the bypass kit from Retired BLM Rig http://forum.powerwagonregistry.org/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=5...

Re: Radiator Hoses: To Change Or Not?
True, not many miles on the truck. I've always had a "freeway flyer" to drive around town. I appreciate the comments and am leaning towards replacing things. The miles I do put on the truck are mostly on trips to the Mojave Desert and frequently alone so it makes sense to keep everything in good sha...

Radiator Hoses: To Change Or Not?
My truck is now 14 years old and I'm wondering about whether I should proactively replace the coolant hoses. 61,000 miles, never over heated, and I changed the coolant once. Anybody know how long these hoses will last?

Re: High Output Alternator
You are going to have to run a new charge wire from the alternator to the battery through a 250-300 amp fuse. The stock fusible link won't take the increased output.

Re: USGS Earthquake map
I was out in the area last week Monday to Thursday passing through Trona (the small town directly at the epicenter of the quakes). On Monday it was a ghost town, but relief efforts had started (Pot-a-Potties and bottled water) and on Thursday there were more people in Trona than I've ever seen. Mili...

Re: Aluminum Driveshaft failures?
I changed mine out to steel after I noticed a small dent in the stock aluminium shaft. I was thinking about how you can stand on a empty beer can, but as soon as you dent the side, catastrophic failure!

Re: No lights in the Locker Knob.
You could add the EVO manual or air actuated swaybar disconnect and hardwire the lockers for a lot less $.

Re: Uh, oh!
Is it a casting defect or rusting through? Patching a casting defect would be OK, but if it's rust damage it seems that there might be more damage than is visible. Maybe a good idea to invest some time removing rust and really checking out the entire diff.

The 03-05 5.7 Hemi's had the crossover wires. 06 and up have the same coil firing both plugs for that cylinder.

New Ignition Wires?
I have about 70K miles on the truck so it's about time to change the spark plugs again and I was thinking about new wires also. Does anyone have, or know about using short wires instead of the over the top stock set up? https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B004PLBQXA?tag=acr-pre-chr-us-20&ascsubtag=1ba00-010...

Welcome,
Not only were the 05 trucks sequentially numbered, they have a panty hook also!
I got my truck new in 2005 and am still loving it.
