Was this a mistake? or are some current threads purposely getting locked?
What thread is that? Do you have the thread URL? We'll check it out.

Re: Thinking to sell or trade in my 2006

I'll be keeping the truck. I got this far. I fear that once I change the arms, and fix the AC, that the engine will take a dump. It stalled on me today. LOL. Just give me another year with it for some wheeling next year at Rausch, and get past my current financial obligations, for one, to pay off a ...

Re: Thinking to sell or trade in my 2006

He needs an evaporator. It doesn't matter which parts you are replacing, if you crack open the AC you will need a vacuum pump and pressure manifold to charge the system. Instead of paying a shop a grand or more, buy the tools and do the job yourself. That's not our Ace. [emoji38] Yea, you know I ca...

Thinking to sell or trade in my 2006

I'm at a Tipping Point. Do I spend a few grand to get this inspectable and drivable, or do I just trade it in for a new 2018. 2006 with 113k miles. My signature pretty much tells you what I have in it. Currently, it needs: Driver side lower Control arm AC charge I'm not exactly sure what it's worth....

Re: Rusty's PW Journal

Nice job! I bought the Thuren arms, but they're still in the box. I should have got these things. I may still do it.

I definitely need the Thuren shackles. The ones I have are a little short.

Do you Kno how the Thuren soft ride coils compare to the Carli progressive coils?

Re: Why the lack of subforums?

Ok, the new subforums and categories have been created/modifed.

I still think we should divviy up the PW 3G, 4G, etc as subforums under Tehcnical instead of buried in another layer. What do you think?

Who has purchased from Thuren? Do you call him, or does he have distributors? George from 8Lug doesn't appear to carry his products.

Re: Another Government Wagon Auction

Here's a higher milage 2010 in Lewistown, MT. It looks like the winch is MIA, along with one of the wheels. 81QSCI18239007A.jpg Wow, that one has lots of damage, check engine light, check 4wd light, torn driver seat, chipped glass, and more. The highest bid shown is $900, but that hasn't met the re...

Re: Control Arms

I've only seen pic's of the Alien set-up. And from the looks of the rear bracket. It hangs down low. So, I'm not sure on them. From the looks of the pictures of the Alien Arms, they don't look like they will work with the OEM Rock Rails. That certainly could be, I don’t recall how the front bracket...

Re: Control Arms

The Aliens are super stout and those brackets are ideal for sliding over rocks. I replaced a set of BDS long arms with a set of Aliens on a truck that went to Moab - zero comparison. The older BDS arms made of 2.0”x.120” DOM didn’t stand a chance and were bent like crazy I've only seen pic's of the...

The Thuren Alien brackets hang down too low for Rausch Creek and it's rock gardens. Bill and his 3G with the 6" BDS lift bends arms there.

He sure does! I think he carries a spare long arm now, doesn't he?

Re: Control Arms

For having no money. Thuren regular arms. Forget about the Alien arms. Welding required. Thanks, Russ. Aren't they similarly priced to the Carli? I did notice that the Thuren are bent to allow tire clearance, and they're already a half inch longer, so I think for the value they may be the better so...

Re: 3G frame skid bars. Bad news!

Mine were damaged and removed when I had the fuel pump replaced. I priced out the parts, and they were about $150, but I never bothered replacing them. I like the one from DamageWagon, but that looks like it's going to be pretty expensive.

Control Arms

Which do you like and why? My lower driver OEM arm is literally banging around. Others are probably close to shot. Not like I have any money right now to do this, but it seems like if I want to continue driving it, I have no choice. No long arms. So far I was thinking of, and in no specific order: C...

Just reading all the speculations, and seeing the pictures, more irons the fact that I think I will probably keep my 2006 and probably purchase something else to tow it that gets a lot better mileage then 7. 5.
