King 2.5 Shock Body / Frame Contact
Yesterday installed a 1" lift on the rear to get some rake back in the truck, and was the first time I've spent much time wrenching on rear suspension since installing Thuren King 2.5 a little over a year and 25k miles ago. Did the driver's side first, saw the boot was all torn up where the shock ro...

Save ~$150 over new. <10k Summer miles on them. I ended up switching to the +1.5” coils when I went to heavier front bumper.

...I used the AEV Procal to change the gears to 4.88 since they dont list 5.13. Although I've heard this does nothing, I figured it couldnt hurt. I remember reading on their forum at some point that the 5.13 switch position listed for their Jeep Procal also works with the Ram Procal, it was just an...

Re: Overland 1.5 inch Spring w/King OEM 2.5 Shock
I’m looking to add a spacer to my tear as well to recover some rake post-Thuren. Is there any reason to choose a spacer that sits under the spring (latest Traxda design) vs. those that sit on top of the spring (pretty much every other option, as far as I can tell).

Really would like to know what you think of that iKamper. We have a nice Baroud setup now, but we’re reaching the limits of its size as my little 7YO guy keeps growing. iKamper would offer us more room, with a few drawbacks in setup and stow time - but if the quality is good and we are more comforta...

Re: Bouncing Problemos
Been meaning to update this! I don’t get the rolling back and forth now. I’ve still got a lot of weight up high, so I still get a lot of roll - but the shocks keep it from overshooting and oscillating back, so it just rolls in, takes a set, and comes back nicely as I unwind the steering wheel. Ride ...

Re: Bouncing Problemos
I am installing my Thuren 2.5 setup this weekend, assuming weather cooperates. I ended up going keeping the OE PW rear springs, and going with the Thuren +1/2" springs up front... so CG shouldn't take much of a hit and didn't make spring rates worse in the rear. Hoping that between more aggressive r...

At least one destroyed on the rocks at PWIM a few weeks back. A couple of others got some nice battle scars.

Re: Truck felt squirrely on drive back
I can’t remember from PWIM, but I think you are on OEM track bars? How many miles? Might be time for Thuren or Carli replacements. I’ve been battling the same thing, but I’ve got a lot more weight up high in the rear. Higher tire pressures and a stiffer tire helped me, of course with a corresponding...

Oh dear. This pressure/circumference discussion can bring out some “dialog”... At the risk of fanning the flames: within reason, the circumference is the circumference irrespective of pressure. Very low or very high pressures may be exceptions - but within typical operating pressures differences wou...

Browsing Amazon looking for a good 1/2" drive torque wrench that runs up to 250 ft-lbs... gotta make sure the Thuren 2.5 setup goes on correctly  Anyone have suggestions on a favorite choice here?
