Re: Tire Feedback

Time for a move to 37s. I'm running 35 (33?) K02 today - honestly despite the hate that tire gets, I have no complaints other than how small they run for a given size. Off-road they've handled the narrow, mostly sand/dirt/clay trails around here, the sand, rocks, and roots of Great Sand Dunes / Meda...

Re: Viair vs ARB

Last year I bought the portable ARB twin, thinking it would be a more flexible solution than on-board. It has worked well to air up 35s pretty quickly at 100% duty cycle. I'm now rethinking the "portable" direction - it is one more thing to have to remember, load, and secure in the truck. Bed space ...

Re: Year-round shock oil for cold weather

Trading emails with Don this week as I look at going 2.5s, he said no to need to re-valve, so not sure where that leaves the discussion given seemingly conflicting answers.

The classic Michigan tire conundrum - mud tires simply being suboptimal for our winter roads.

16PW - are you in a snow belt? I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on the KM3 if you are.

Ha, reading comprehension fail. I guess can’t really complain about 50k rebuild on a high performance wear item.

Aftermarket Shock Service Intervals

Gents - Farting around looking at Carli and Thuren offerings and dreaming about blowing lots of money come spring, I ran across the service intervals on Fox's website: https://www.ridefox.com/service.php?m=offroad 10,000 miles for a full rebuild with a 100% highway duty cycle? Really? :jawdrop: Obvi...

Truck looks great in the snow, Low_Sky.

I ended up winching off another truck. Considered snatch strap, but figured winch was safest option since I didn’t really know how bad it was hung up.

Re: Power Wagon Picture Thread

Had to use the winch today! Got a little too close to edge of rut and it gave out beneath RR, got hung up on rear differential. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181224/f4645617555d90a16f630ec1ead95ed8.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181224/28f73be83328c80584c911cf105d05d1.jpg Sent from my i...

Gears?

Considering going to 37" tires next summer if when my 35" are getting worn out. Even on the 35s I am asking myself if I should re-gear to liven the truck up some, so thinking that on 37s I would definitely want to. A couple of questions: 1) There are a few different gear suppliers out there - is the...

Re: 2020 Power Wagon - Spied

Who gave the green light to that design, Helen Keller? It's terrible. I cannot even imagine a die-hard Chebby fan defending that, and I grew up in GM Country.

If the typical Chevy styling trend between exterior and interior is followed, it's almost inconceivable how bad the inside will be...

Watching with interest - I'd really like to run these trails next year, and meet some fellow PW families. Not sure that timing will work out from us coming over from MI - but mid-July is a possibility maybe. I think wifey is already going to be in South Dakota for a couple of weeks in late June or e...

Re: Bouncing Problemos

It was Chris at Thuren. In our discussion I don’t recall him mentioning their rear track bar kit - in my notes the rear roll center height came up in talking to AEV and PP - but perhaps he did say something and I missed it. At any rate I just checked out Thuren site and that looks like it is just wh...

Re: Bouncing Problemos

So I talked to Carli, Thuren, Pure Performance, and AEV yesterday. In short, the consensus was I need more rear rebound damping and reduced rear roll via a stiffer rear roll bar and raised rear roll center. Here is a longer summary of the conversations: Pure Performance, Carli, and Thuren setups all...

I'm appreciating the dialog, as it's informative and I am not sure exactly what my main issue is yet! Lots of advice here to sort through for my specific issue.

It may be better in a dedicated thread with an appropriate title though - may help other folks find it via search for future reference.

Re: Bouncing Problemos

Was the oscillation a type of bouncing, or a side to side? And was it the front or the rear of the truck? Aka did the truck try and squat and waggle on you around corners? Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk Side-to-side, front I think but with my weight up high in back any cornering has some comp...
