Re: Vintage Power Wagon Parts

I did get more pictures, but these were the only ones I could get to upload. The '46 is the red truck, and the '64 is the engine and frame. It does have power steering, there's a pump sitting on top of the motor and the lines run to the steering box.

Re: Vintage Power Wagon Parts

You just mentioned the company in your thread title! Vintage Power Wagons is the name of the company. They are probable the best source for the old Power Wagon parts you're going to find. The chrome decals/emblems you're looking for are not cheap. Every separate word is $179/each. So, for "Dodge Po...

Re: Vintage Power Wagon Parts

I'll get some pictures here soon. If just the chrome emblems alone are worth that much, I might pull the trigger. I spoke to the owners son, and he wants them gone but hasn't put any adds out there. I'd also like to get them out of the snow that we've got coming. I'll stop by again today, should hav...

Vintage Power Wagon Parts

Is there any company that re-manufactures vintage Power Wagon Parts? I'd be interested in the chrome decals from the 1946-1970ish 1 ton, 5 lug, flat fender Power Wagons. I was also out to lunch today, and found 2 old Power Wagons, a 1946 and a 1964. The '64 is almost completely apart but is all ther...

CREE LED bulbs from a thread on Dodgetalk. The cargo lights are great when I pull into a campsite after dark.

I put tacky bumper stickers on the inside of my truck box lid, along with stickers from the manufacturers of products I've put on my truck. I think it adds character.

Re: HORSEPOWER..... Round 2

Couple questions- was anything special required to mount the 6.1 in front of the G56? And what kind of clutch is there for a hemi G56 that would hold up to that kind of power?

If the 6.1 is a direct fit, would the 6.4 and the supercharged 6.2 work as well?

Re: 2005 Power Wagon Craigslist deal!!! Check it out!!!

I was looking for a trailer that would haul this thing until I texted him. Looks like they're deciding to keep it. I believe he sold the rock rails here in the for sale forum a week or two ago. My girlfriend almost killed me. I was very very close to owning two Power Wagons.

ok. wheel spacers off and returned. Going to get a tune from Sean. then once I'm done with bolt-ons, I'll get it re-tuned. does anyone have advice for cai, throttle bodies, and headers and exhaust? I've got the Moe's 85mm throttle body, and if I did it again I think I'd go with fastman. The Moes TB...

I only use it in heavy traffic or when starting up a hill when I have a trailer hitched up, although all of my towing so far has been under 4000lbs. 90% of the time when I'm in 4 HI I'll at least start out in low.

I may just have to pick one up...you know...for gas mileage. 18 mpg is great for a truck this size. How is the cow? Very good sir---nice catch, fellow USMA grad? Re: HELP WITH UPGRADES

Locker bypass and a carli front diff guard are easy to do. If you have problems with death wobble I'd look at aftermarket track bars. I'm running the thuren track bar and that fixed my DW problem.

Re: Any good shops in Watertown NY

I don't have a good place to recommend, but I'd stay away from Cheney Tire. It seems to me like they cater to the 'bro-truck' crowd and don't know what actually works well off road. They will have your average 6 inch lifts for half ton pick up trucks, and it seems to me like they do very well making...

Re: Just wrecked my 2006, need some help

Well, after about 10 weeks of waiting the truck should be done next weekend. Unfortunately I'm going to be locked down for the next two weeks for a military course. On the upside, Sears got me a pretty decent military discount on some Cooper STTs and I've saved enough money in gas borrowing other ve...

Re: Just wrecked my 2006, need some help

Thanks for the replies guys. I had no idea this truck would hold value so well, I thought I'd be lucky to get $16000 for it if they do end up totaling the truck. The body shop has the truck in now, but it'll be Tuesday before they can look at it. I'm still crossing my fingers that everything works o...

Just wrecked my 2006, need some help

I just did a nice 360 on 17 west in New York heading to Fort Drum from the city. Luckily, I was going slower than 55 and the airbags did not deploy. I ended up in a ditch, and if it weren't for 2 flat tires I would have put it in 4WD and walked the truck out. Thankfully the cop on scene was awesome,...

Re: What type of chains do you recommend?

Are there any options for 35 inch tires that aren't $300+ for a pair? I'm thinking I'd use these once, maybe twice a year. For $300+, I might just get a winch cable extension or some longer straps.

Re: Frozen Wagon

Thankfully my truck was 300 miles south of this storm when it hit, otherwise my truck would be covered in ice as well. I've started looking at chains because of this storm. Looks like there aren't many options that fit a 35 inch tire.

How do you go about clearing this much ice off your trucks?

Re: Truck needs a diet

I can get mine down to 7160 for a DITY move. No spare tire or jack, gas light on, completely empty. 06 quadcab with the G56. I've never tried removing the winch. Loaded up day to day I'm around 7800-8000.
