Re: Rock Sliders For '05 PW?

I have White Knuckle sliders on my '05, as does PDavey. Great fit, solid, and they bolt on. I have really used them on actual rocks with no damage. The only thing I can think of in your case is the location of the mounts in relation to your batteries. I can measure the location of the mounts if you ...

Re: Hi from Central Virginia!

Sorry about the threadjack, mikejr Welcome! PWs are good for a bunch of water, I think 24" IIRC. Of course, read your manual. It may depend on the year. Some of us do it occasionally. It's not my favorite way to abuse it, but I haven't had any issues. Raising the vents is a good idea. One of these d...

Re: Easy way to fix driver's side lean?

All of this ^^^

You turn the axle into a big torsion bar if the cams aren't set pretty close to each other. You won't twist the axle, so it either raises or lowers a rear corner. If it raises the left rear, it pushes down on the right front.

Re: Rausch Creek 2020 10 Year Anniversary

We all usually hang together, but if we end up with a large group, we will have to break up. There are different styles of trail everywhere you go in the park, so you should be able to find something you like.

Re: A/C Vacuum Leak? Blend Doors?

This is a strange one, based on this and your other thread. I can't imagine you're too happy resorting to throwing dollars at it until it gives in. I have a Tahoe that goes hot when sitting still, idling. Our shop is supposed to fix it this week. Quite cold while driving. I'm told they know what par...

But seriously, you may be able to track down his thread. I think he used DC, as Colibri said. High output at low RPMs.

Re: A/C Vacuum Leak? Blend Doors?

'05 like yours. I replaced my blend doors because they broke. Specifically, the Recirc door. I never had AC go completely hot. Sometimes it was warmer than it should be, but never as hot as you describe. My memory tells me the door motors are electric. I think you need to determine if the compressor...

My '13 Silverado work truck does the same thing. I assume it is to reduce blower sound through the phone.

He unplugged the unit and moved it to other holes in the frame temporarily. The harness does not reach where he mounted it, so it remains unplugged.

Re: Towing Capacity

I know you already did it, and are set up for your first trip, but I will still give you my experience. I have an '05 PW with 35s. The last camper was a 7,700 GVW 29ft bunkhouse-style Dutchmen. The camper itself was overloaded by about 1,200lbs the one time I did the math. It towed fine after I fina...
