Re: 2019 Ram power waggon is it worth to buy one?

Probably too late to help, but: 2017 Power Wagon here. The only rig I would swap it for would be a 2019 or 2020 Power Wagon for the 8 speed. I get 10.8 MPG all around, with 37" BFG KM2s and 5:13 gears. Amazingly, that's almost exactly what I got overall MPG with the stock gears/tires. One of the gu...

Re: 2018 Death Wobble - Buy Once Cry Once

Reloader, I've thought about the centrimatics too but it's not low speeds where I get DW, it's above 65. I don't get any strange vibrations at low speeds. After doing the buddy test, the TREs are tight but I am getting play at both ends of the track bar. I also have a cracked/split/deteriorating bu...

Re: 2nd Gen Ford Raptor

i can out baja a raptor with my truck at X speed...the problem is just how dang slow the PW is compared to a boosted truck at full throttle.. im not quite sure if my suspension is faster then the 500HP V6... i do know this argument is minimized with a Tune on the 6.4 but thats beyond reliability. o...

Re: 2nd Gen Ford Raptor

Like I always say, fake tits might look good, but no one loves titty fucking the titties when they're hard as rocks. Do you really always say that? It's apples and oranges, different trucks for different things. With $20k you could make a PW that will out Baja a Raptor but you'd be hard pressed to ...

Re: 2018 Death Wobble - Buy Once Cry Once

Leaving the steering stabilizer off is an accelerated way to test DW, but if it’s already on then no need to remove it. I’d like to know if everything goes well now, or not. Alignment numbers look very good to me! My steering stabilizer could be going, it's not leaking but it does have a small dent...

Re: 2018 Death Wobble - Buy Once Cry Once

Installed the Thuren front track bar, got an alignment to Thuren specs and removed the front centrimatics. I checked my ball joints and tie rod ends, everything is tight. Had them double checked by Firestone (I know I know) and they confirmed, no issues or worn parts. My radius arm bushings are stil...

Welcome. Please don't put 20" wheels unless you're going at least 37" if not 40" tires.

Re: 2018 Death Wobble - Buy Once Cry Once

If TRE’s are tight, if we are to assume the ball joints are good, I’d definitely look at swapping trackbars. The radius arm center bushings do seem to die somewhat soon on the Articulink arms but based on what I’ve seen on a lot of trucks, if your radius arm bushing already looks like that then I w...

Re: 2018 Death Wobble - Buy Once Cry Once

Thanks for the reply Marcus. Depending on what the initial on pavement testing reveals, I'll try jacking it up and disconnecting the drag link. I've only experienced DW a few times, always on the highway and always after a bridge abutment or bump. One of the times my wife was driving and it freaked ...

2018 Death Wobble - Buy Once Cry Once

After getting some death wobble over the past few weeks, I'm going to be doing some troubleshooting this weekend. Per previous post by Marcus... "Before buying parts, do the usual test. Have a buddy turn engine on and turn the wheel back and forth repeatedly and watch every joint on Trackbar and tie...

Re: Ford Tremor

Honest question, does anyone know why FCA hasn't included 35s from the factory? 1/2 ton Raptors have had 35s since 2011. I can't imagine the 1mpg drop from a larger heavier tire is going to sway any companywide epa goals. Especially since they don't rate the 3/4+ ton trucks. No reason they couldn't ...

Nice. What size tires do you run with your 5.13s Easy?
37" Cooper's probably another another 12-18months left on them. Then maybe 39s once I've seen a few guinea pigs work out the rub issues.

Re: Power Wagons in Moab 2020 - May 4th - May 8th - Registration Open

They got hit in 2018 by the BLM (at the last minute) over not being properly registered so, which requires you have an insurance policy, etc. A many thousand dollar last minute charge that wasn't budgeted. Which is why it was officially cancelled in 2018, it was just a bunch of people driving aroun...
