Re: 3G Factory Alcoa Rims

I can split them up if 4 people are ready to buy a single rim all at the same time. My dog recently had bloat and needed major surgery which is my motivation to sell them to get some money back in the bank.

Re: "Want to buy" Factory Wheels

I would definitely be interested as long as shipping doesn't kill me. I have a commercial address in 60453 they can be sent to. Do you have any pictures? If it would be cheaper to ship would you send just the rims if I paid you for your troubles? Also do you know what year truck they were off of?

"Want to buy" Factory Wheels

When I purchased my Power Wagon used, the wheels were less than perfect. I am looking for a clean set of factory rims to replace the banged up ones I have. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Horn help/pic needed

One horn should have a grey wire with light-blue stripe & black wire. The other horn should have a grey wire with yellow stripe & black wire going to it.

From the picture that appears to be the case. The other connector I am not too sure about.

Hope your engine troubles pan out, that certainly sounds like a lot of water. It appears that you have a 2005 PW and I do not believe the PW came with MDS back then. Either way let us know how it goes.

I believe this one was up for sale earlier this year on eBay. At that time it had a western snow plow on it. Sweet truck.

Re: a Plow on a 2010 PW possible?

You are correct that the PW is not designed to have a plow installed. There was a special note to that affect in the 3g owners manual. With that being said I have come across quite a few 3rd gen's that had Western Ultramount Plows on them and it did not seem to cause the owners too many worries. As ...

Re: Update. Upgrading back to 7100's!!!.......?

Not to hijack Neil's thread but I placed an order with Tommy at 8 Lug today and have some Carli ball joints and Spicer U Joints on their way. It was extremely easy to ace the order, and he took the time to review/explain my options to me. At this point my wallet is hoping the bearings may be ok. Tha...

If you follow this link and enter your vin you should be all set. Pay no attention to the fact that it says Jeep. https://jeep.custhelp.com/app/jeep/eqlisting_detail/session/L3RpbWUvMTM5MzY0MzI4OC9zaWQvWGxOMmc2T2w%3D Also, I am no expert on the 4th gen but it very well maybe an SLT as they did not b...

Re: Update. Upgrading back to 7100's!!!.......?

Seeing how I picked this wagon up used, I am hoping the previous owner did not use splined joints. I am also really hoping that it will turn out to just be shocks so I can save up the cash to do this right the first time. If it turns out to be the ball joints, it seems the re come ded list would inc...

Re: Update. Upgrading back to 7100's!!!.......?

Read though this whole thread yesterday, lots of good information. Then I noticed this today while rotating the tires. Looks like I will be doing some more reading on Ball Joints and an upgrade to the factory shocks. I guess 98k isn't to bad for the oem stuff.

I would start by checking the smart bar connector and both locker connectors. Check the faq page for more in depth discussion. Is the serv4wd light on the dash.

Re: Tailgate Support

I had to move an oversized golf cart this summer which had the back wheels resting on the gate. I bolted a piece of flat stock with extra holes using the gate latch bolts. I then ran ratchet straps up to the gate latch pins for extra support. The golf cart was heavy but it caused a simple on each si...

The snorkel is way up, the hood should clear no issues. When I talked to someone in their booth today they made it seem like they should be available soon.

Re: Check engine light p0456

So far so good, no light. There was a member on DT that had also reported a cracked fuel pump flange causing the code and it certainly seems like a smoking gun. If anyone has a persistent code and nothing obvious shows up when a smoke test is performed I would suggest looking at the pump.

Re: Check engine light p0456

Seeing how the pump was visibly cracked this had to solve the issue. They took the pump out from the top of the tank without dropping the fuel tank. Instead they propped up the bed and got at it that way, they only had to loosen the bed bolts and the filler neck to lift the bed up.

Re: Check engine light p0456

They thought it would be easier to loosen the bed up and prop the front of it up 8 inches or so than removing the skid plate and dropping the tank. They loosened the fuel filler neck but all of the lights were unaffected.

Re: Check engine light p0456

$600 total, which includes $285 for the pump itself and 3 hours of labor to cover everything. These guys were great to deal with, when I first brought it in they were upfront and told me they were not positive the Leak detection pump would fix it. No diagnosis fee or install, I just had to buy the $...
