Re: 3rd Gen PW question

regular 2500s most likely will not have front locker factory winch is perfectly fine, but the factory thermal protection and power delivery may not be ideal-rewire it so many people hardwire their lockers anyway, but the swaybar is another factor..most go manual disco which is easy and cheap. and re...

Re: Does the Sway Bar Disconnect ever work?

The servo is spring loaded, so if the sway bar is in a bind when actuated the servo cycles and holds pressure on the disconnect mechanism until the first opportunity of free movement. The servo also has an indicator light circuit to confirm disconnect has occurred. sounds like ill need to find anot...

Re: Does the Sway Bar Disconnect ever work?

Standalone, electric sway bar disconnect with the flip of a switch. Currently testing the prototype on my truck. It will work on any SmartBar, PW or Jeep. Does not use the factory switch, OEM module will have to be secured to the frame, crossmember or engine compartment to retain locker function an...

tell me the 2019 PW hasnt grown on you, at least aesthetically, coupled with the actual capability?

if your buying a Gas HD...why not get a PW.
if your buying an Offroad work truck, why anything else?

I bet more people than ever are looking into PWs

Re: Upgrading to 35’s

The Autel rental is positively the best way to get this done, if your so inclined to read directions.

It was easy once you get the Code for your truck from the dealer...which clearly, is market and dealer dependent.

Re: Does the Sway Bar Disconnect ever work?

exactly lol sway bar disco isnt only usefull when rock crawling...its necessary on high grade fire roads, or any type of 18+MPH overlanding. with the Evo air release, you do still want to keep the stock module tucked under there so you dont throw codes. Yes, you need a switch, but plenty of places t...

Re: Does the Sway Bar Disconnect ever work?

mine worked fine...albeit, if 4low and under 18MPH is fine for you... On demand switch and air release is something i use EVERY DAY. i disconnect once i get on the highway, 90MPH and 10 miles later i re egnage just before the exit turn ramp so i dont have to slow down. Over 65MPH without a front swa...

Re: Locker Bypass Rebirth

That’s the thing, with the bypass you know the dog gear will mesh as soon as possible, instead of waiting for the ideal moment at which it has perfect clearance at perfect speeds. Yes you should take care when engaging and slowly roll away with a little turn in the wheel, but it’s locked in just a s...

We ran new grounds from the regulator to frame and from alternator case to frame. Do we need to ground the VR to the Alt? Does the Alt need a direct ground? Engine block ground is on the opposite side and back side of the block to the frame rails, Which was an box chevy I think? Can too many redunda...

yea but my 2016 BMW x5 50i had BMS piggyback tuners and it was just fine...only pulled timing when it got too hot under hood.
my take is the hardware and chipset are not up to the task.
