Re: xfer case linkage

the stiffer that link, the harsher the input into the shift rod and shift linkage.

how aggressively does your shift lever move now under load and articulation?
the play in that linkage must be there for a reason. although the reliability of your link is substantially beneficial.

golden. works as advertised. speedo is now in sync with GPS 2 ways. thank you AEV attempting to clarify instructions with AEV but i do believe i ran into a mishap. my 2018 has a secondary OBD2 harness that connects to factory obd and replaces the dash mounted obd with a secondary unit that had no av...

Re: Frustration...

Knock on wood, I don't want your problems. I haven't had any yet. But we had our first "incident" the other day, after a multi-day run and long drive home, I came to a stop light and the truck just stopped running. Light turns green, I press the gas, nothing... WTH? Then I realized the engine wasn'...

lets talk about hemis....specifically in the 6+ liter versions... i know not much of 5.7s how often do you hear a stock motor actually acting up? well, i guess i hear it act up daily behaving like a sowing machine and tippity tappity in my earholes. (S&B and Mufflex magnaflow/res chop solved this) b...

Re: Homemade Old School Plug and Play Locker Bypass

Just did Mufflex muffler, tried running without resonator and harmonics sucks @ 60-80mph. Installed resonator and harmonics are about 0. i find i can cruise just fine on the highway with the same setup. and i drive 45-85MPH extended lengths with traffic patterns. where did you chop the resonator an...

Re: 2015 6.4 Hemi EGR Issues?

its the quality of 87octance gas on a national basis. 87 octane in south florida, is not like 87 octane in NJ in the wintertime... forego the possible issues by using 89. 87 is fine even in a Ferrari...its just going to act and drive like trash. surging is all part of the MPG tuning we get from fact...

100% of the time i shift into 6th to disable MDS... i can not stand the performance of MDS.
it better be helpful and not detrimental, because even if it grenades the motor, im disengaging it on the tow truck too

Re: 2015 6.4 Hemi EGR Issues?

the truck calls for 89....use it. i remember driving my grandfathers S550 and Bentley with the 4.0TT. he strictly uses 87....talk about boats. i use 89 on every natural aspirated vehicle ive owned. and 100% of the time, you will see improvement in the upgraded fuel. you can not feed a motor anything...

hahahaha but in all seriousness...this is the one reason i shy away from diesel....i hate letting any vehicle idle. but a gasser will do just fine. being told not to let it idle for any length of time takes the diesel out right from under me as an option. i love what they can do, but for my purposes...

Re: Trans Issues - 2016

not a chance in hell any dealer techs are doing this....

this has to be partly why the truck clunks and shifts hard and feels like there is excessive lash in the drivetrain.

Re: Trans Issues - 2016

i had dodge replace it with what they had in stock the factory fill was most likely the 75w80 something. i had the tech fill 75w140 due to the south florida heat and the way i drive. i tore up the factory fluid within 10k miles, i had "slipping'" and grinding sounds/feels from the rear dif. the 140 ...

Re: Trans Issues - 2016

i would change your diff fluid. can do it at home. may or may not work, but at least you can get new fluid in there. this cured grinding for me in my 18. at 10k miles! ever changed it before? my transmission always feels like its slipping and having torque converter issues. i believe this is the tun...

bold items i experience as well.
