Re: The "Real Reliability"

25k miles and it’s junk. Blown trans and they won’t just replace it, just keep replacing its guts. Already has a new valve body. And already got lost between reverse and drive and had no torque lockup and no throttle. Can’t understand what’s going on here, but I need it to be fixed. I have NO faith,...

Re: 37s with overland extreme questions

they may be a tad expensive for what they are and where else the money could go, but they are reliable and quality. they work as it relates to picking up the slack of our electronic throttle systems and the piss-poor performance engineering by the MGP-EPA freaks. ive had them in sports cars, suvs, j...

Re: 37s with overland extreme questions

my 37 toyo RTs at 17 inches run smoother then the 35s did and even smoother then stock duratracs by a long shot. (if you beat on your tires, offroad often, ride in gravel often, Centramatics will do wonders for you) youll have pedal commander, intake/exhaust to deal with any loss of "performance" do...

Re: Making new tire & wheel plunge

the issue with the stock rim is purely the width of it, and accepting a wider tire, with a wider contact patch. Wider 35s or 37s deserve a wider rim to justify said tread size difference. a 12.5 tire tread contact patch will not sit correctly on a 8 inch rim....in fact, it is probably not an "approv...

its steel... anything is possible. bolt on or weld...its just a time and effort thing, for Don included. and alot of us would probably do it. i want more of a Push bar style, yet i also do not want any further protrusion, so a vertical bar the width of the grill would be ideal, or mounted aft on the...

Re: Tire questions

if most of your driving is highway, your new MTs could potentially drive you nuts... you may be ok for a few 1000 miles but if you dont maintain perfect wear and balance, they will wallow out your eardrums. toyo RT have been great and the 35s went over 20k miles and had plenty of tread left...only i...

mounting style for lights is universal, so youll have to measure some ports and match them to corresponding pods or bars.... baja or rigid or Chinesium will work. fairlead will be dictated by whats on the spool. you should have rollers for cable, but i just have a steel Hawse because i have light us...

Just don’t do a led bar in that port and you’ll be fine with a cube. I’m large and fit my entire hand on the clutch.

sorry if i misled...it is in fact all covered by warranty still. I would love to throw a billet valve body and new TC at it but once i do, im sure i lose all coverage of any further issues and any rights to call on warranty for engine or transfer case issues. i just want to replace the damn awful co...

Dont remember the trans spending so much time in 3rd though? like it chooses to be in 3rd more often, which does keep me in the power band better. ( im guessing the trans unlearns this behavi...

if you happen to get a warmer day again, try out the 4wd again.

Tcase could be extra noisy with cold Fluid.

AMSOIL will probably fix that right up.

yea, i was saying it must be the 19 powerwagons getting your blood moving.

and then i was saying maybe if you do come back and snag a 19 wagon, that the 8 speed would help you get over the 6.4

we are all crying with you waldo....sorry broha. i know your hurting more then your truck i remember this story 3 times from the 8 years i lived in northern New Jersey. on 3 occasions, we had deers Tbone us. Re: Toyo Open Country R/T vs Open Country A/T II

,I think there is a finer line between 50k highway/all road miles vs age/gravel/load varied use. Ive never had a tire last me more then 20k miles, because like you, wear bars indicate you now have lesser traction. All my Suvs did tires in with about 12-15k miles my sedans were about 15-18k miles jee...

Re: Toyo Open Country R/T vs Open Country A/T II

for sure...we drive some heavy lards. the tires best for winter, are not suited for summer pavement. winter tread does not burn away on cold pavement, but summer tread will burn away faster then when on hot blacktop. And most AT tire compounds are pretty soft. you need a winter set, you need an AT e...

Re: 2018 Transmission Failure

stock gears and 37’s is extremely hard on trans fluid and clutch packs if you drive aggressively, which I think he probably does. Resetting tire size in the pcm doesn’t really change that fact. again, 37s just went on 1k or so miles ago. your going to tell me 37s caused a failure in a month or so o...
