Re: Diff fluid change? Rookie help.
To get the diffs correctly filled I use an allen wrench. Just stick the short end in and down in the fill hole. Once you start to see fluid on the end you are good (assuming the correct size wrench, usually want to fill to about a half inch of the fill hole).

Re: Great deal on 2 new 2016 PWs in San Diego
I realize mine is a 2012 and prices seemed to have gone up since then. But I was out the door at $40xxx for mine new. Only missing leather, heated wheel and sun roof. Sticker was $51xxx. I don't even feel I haggled very hard.

Re: New (soon to be offroad) Trailer....Stage 2....Part 2
Hi everybody. I finally got to the point of being 'done' on the trailer. I have no more plans for any further upgrades. I have recently added a Foxwing awning, some new 235/85/16 tires (including new spare), added some additional area lighting, and repacked the bearings. I am very happy with the cur...

I am guessing they messed with the alignment after all that work? Might not have done it correctly.

Re: Oil change - is this normal?
One thing I have seen happen is the oil filter is not tightened enough so on start up the oil shoots out of the seal. On the 5.7 filter change - I put a funnel with a long tube up to the bottom of the guide that is under the filter and un screw the filter. I can change without a single drop spilt us...

Re: New (soon to be offroad) Trailer....Stage 2
Hi everybody. Been working on my trailer again. I have replaced the suspension with something better suited for off road. It previously had the standard short trailer springs that were really stiff and not really any travel. The new stuff seems perfectly balanced for the trailer and weight. It is Ch...

I have had mine in everything but deep mud and they have been amazing. I keep thinking some 37s would look cool but not really practical. This size tire has done everything I have wanted to try.

Re: Differential Covers! Which one : Dodge Off Road or AEV?
I have the DOR and am happy with it. Have not really abused it but I have done enough that the stock cover would not have held up. Only problem (which might be true for all the covers with drain and fill plus) is I have to use teflon tape to prevent the plugs from seeping. I would purchase the unit ...

How often do you need to recharge the battery(ies)? I can run my edgestar 63 quart for two days in 100*f along with other accessories (water pump for sink and misc lighting) before charging. I cannot recall the capacity of the battery right now.

Has anybody thought about drilling through the firewall into the cowl for an intake? Like the Cherokee guys do? I think this would work but I dont know if I would like how loud it would be.
