Re: 2020 Power Wagon - Spied

Really curious about an 8 speed now. The more I think about it the more I think it's a possibility. For the gas engine anyway. The diesel is definitely keeping the 68 but 65 production didn't go up to cover the 66 loss like I thought it might be. Could be an 8 speed for gas, but FCA isn't building i...

Re: Diablosport tuner

Love my new. Hemifever tune. Can't remember what it was like before as I bought it and yad it turned in a week or 2. Totally worth the drivability gains though

Re: Tazer RAM

That would definitely make it worth while in my opinion. I have always avoided the tazr because it just seemed to lack enough usable options for me personally but that would sell it for me. Can it be used safely with a Diablo tune, if u know?

Re: 2020 Power Wagon - Spied

Pretty much. The rfe line of transmissions have been slated to be gone about 4 different times now. They went so far as to uninstall most of the machinery but keep pushing it back. Now it's slated to go till 2021. We have been waiting for confirmation of building an 8spHD but it's never been confirm...

Re: 2020 Power Wagon - Spied

Another interesting little factoid is we stop producing the 66RFE next week. So any 2019 with the 6.4 will have the 65.

Re: 2020 Power Wagon - Spied

Would make some sense as we r building the rfe for 3 more years. That would coincide perfectly if we get out empty plant cleared out and utilized in the next year.

Re: Perfect world PW

I just know the mule has the 68rfe with some updates and we r set to keep building it for another 3 years. FCA only builds 8 speeds for vehicles with a v6, ZF builds everything else now. 8 speed HD is coming but they probably won't announce where it's to be built until after contract next year. It's...

Re: Perfect world PW

Well here is a small bit of info for all of u. I have looked closely at the test mule we have in our test garage and it will have the same drive train for now. There is a small update to the trans but can't say what. Also the front end will be a little longer it seems. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using ...

Re: 2018 Power Wagon Brake Issues

I have ssbc 2 piston calipers on my 99 1500 and they do work great. Had them for about 12-13 years. Never had a problem. Just grease the slides once a year. Big improvement for that truck.

Re: 2.5s versus 3" Kings

It really is worth it. I was worried about going stage 3 with mine. Didn't want a log wagon, I have one like that. Wish I would have gone 4 now. This is the first time "it rides better than stock" is factually accurate.

Shock scoring

Lets try this again. So I just installed my thuren kit with King shocks about a month ago and everything is better than I expected. Looking over some things tonight I noticed some scoring on one of the front shocks. Anyone have an opinion on this? I have a set of Kings that r about 15 years old for ...

Re: Trans Issues - 2016

It's not a Frankenstein trans. It's a HD version of the 545rfe. It's a good transmission. My coworkers nextdoor build it. My good friend has the job of tearing down warranty returns and documenting the failures. Most of the issues found are related to debris found in the trans causing something to h...

Front locker plug

So when installing my thuren springs I managed to forget to unplug my front locker. as u can guess I pulled the wires out of the plug and broke the plastic. I replaced the harness and I'm back in business but I wondered if anyone has researched the plastic plug it's self? I'd like to find one and re...

Re: Polishing over decals

Clay bar will keep them clean. I really wouldn't worry about getting in the lettering. Just tape off around the decals. Doesn't have to be perfect as u will never get right up next to objects. Within a inch for me is acceptable. I just finished a 2 stage polish to get scratches out and it makes a wo...

Seppw, what issues are you having? just checking to see if what I am experiencing with mine is the same. I have an annoying issue in traffic at 30 mph or below where the trans wants to hold back instead of accelerating and it wants to hang up coming out of third and fourth. I am also getting a nast...

Re: Trans Issues - 2016

For u guys that r complaining about the loud and harsh down shift while decelerating I had similar issues. I bought my truck with 40k on it and was loud and seemed to hang up when downshifting. I simply ordered some redline trans fluid and new filters and instantly it was better. Seemed to still hav...
