Re: Nitrogen in tires???

N2 in tires for road going vehicles is snake oil. You can never get all the mixed air out and get close to 100% N2 in the tire. You will always have a mixture in there. The only way to have 100% N2 in the tire. Is to install the tire on the rim in an enclosed air tight chamber filled with N2. Air i...

There are detailed frame drawings on the builder site, which is linked from the bottom of the ram trucks home pages.

Re: Fender Flares

Funny you say that! I legitimately believe the dark color is mostly to blame for all my Rambox and fender flare issues. Should’ve bought white. With my old grey/silver car in Albuquerque the damn thing used to get super hot, like 160 can't touch bare metal. White trucks and cars don't get nea...

nice truck Kevin, would look better with some dirt on it.
Tis true. Right now I'm hoping to get it registered before the Idaho temp plate expires.

Re: Lifetime Power Train Warranty for 3G

I was told explicitly that installing a turbocharger/supercharger would void the power train warranty. More than a 6" lift would void other parts of the warranty. There were other ways to do that too, they suggested discussing major mods with them first. The lifetime end-end with $100 deductible was...

I wasn't able to get it to work on my 2018 either but not surprised since the BCM programming has changed for 2018.
Worked for me. But I don’t have the keyless thing.

Re: Chains -- S8 Series -- Z486 on 315/70R17

You're probably good to go for all that harsh Arizona winter weather, haha. Just drove from Idaho to Albuquerque through Durango. Other then a thin ground cover of snow on the 11,000 foot pass on US550 there wasn't any snow to be seen other than odd shaded spots. Roads were dry other then the pass ...

Re: Kill-switch for electronic nannies

Sure there is a way around it, give me a damn button to press to rid myself of 100% of these foolish nannies. The sequence can even be made involved so the normal dope that hurts himself easily is unlikely to access the 100% off Option.. It’s not complicated, give me the choice. Anything which does...

Re: Winch rope

My first criteria is likelihood of being killed by my toys. My objective is to have the weakest link be the winch motor. Decent 15T WLL snatch blocks are stupidly expensive, so I do cut some corners there.

That's odd. I ordered mine on Jan 3rd and it went through with them
Mine is waiting for me in Caldwell Idaho with Ramboxes. I’ll get it on the 30th.

There was a period where you couldn’t order them on 2500s last month or so.

Re: 37" tires with 4.10 for those who do have

ProCal is a must. The truck improved a lot with the procal and the shift hunting. But it still feels like I'm towing when I'm not when I go up anything over 2000ft in elevation. We have one pass near us that is only from 3200ft to 7200ft and you feel it. Since ABQ is at 5000 feet and I live at 6000...

In theory, if you use King or Fox shocks you can rebuild seals cheaply. Both offer SS shafts, and if you spray them down with fluid film etc they should last.

Re: MPG calculator versus hand calculations

I posted pictures in the photo string. I have the sliders sitting in my garage. Those will probably kill .5MPG due to weight. Want to do some synthetic line to help off set a portion of that weight. Master Pull has a sale on their 7/16th superline synthetic (36.5K), . It was $315 shipped for the 75...

Re: Changeable Settings at Dealer

They were not interested honestly. They wont do the air pressure change, and it does sound like the idle control may not be part of our software because the transmission cannot except a PTO. Which dealer you using? I’m trying to figure out which of the 2 vaguely convenient dealer I can use or if I ...

Dealer says it will be there in a day or two. I’m sitting on a runway at LAX waiting to fly to Hawaii, so January.

I’m trying to get sliders, diff guards and such installed by them, we’ll see.
