Re: Alternate approach to get truck PIN?

I did the same as above. Brought in the title, registration and my license and told them I wanted my vehicle PINS. They did ask why I would want that information at which point I told them it really wasn't their business to know and as I own the vehicle then I own the information. Then they charged ...

Re: Rambox Panel Warping

I can't say they aren't awesome for what they are. For me, I keep everything that used to hang out in the back of the cab there and it stays safe and is protected from the elements. I was aware that this was a 2500 problem and as I use the truck for work and fun (tow and offroad) well, lets just say...

Re: Rambox Panel Warping

So I'm one of the one's that posted about my ordeal with the covers. In fact there is a replacement box for the passenger side I have not let them touch at the dealership due to incompetence. First and foremost you have to decide that they are in fact toolboxes and as such they won't be perfect. The...

Head gasket is a culprit for sure. Had that issue with a LR Discovery. Always a smell and never any evidence. Definitely curious as others seem to have similar issues.

The software shows control unit options all the way to 2006

"Central Gateway Module
MY2006-12 Non-PowerNet"

You may be able to use that as google fodder to verify but I'm saying yes it appears that it covers it.

So...definitely a puckering type of activity. I was able to change the TPMS to 40 F/R so no more light when I start up and no more automatic starting on the tire pressure graphic. You need the PIN for this and the video above does a good job walking you through. I used https://www.ramforum.com/threa...

So...bought the software off amazon through the link and sent two e-mails now for the activation code. Any feed back on how long the wait is for a response?

Re: AC Main Blend Door

Just changed it and went with the K&N cabin filter so I could just clean it out. I do quite a lot of dirt roads so I'll check that. These are not like the intake air filters so I wanted an option that I could clean whenever, but good point on checking it.

Re: AC Main Blend Door

Kinda the opposite being in Houston. AC is active most of the year for us. I think this truck (2017) acts the same as my 2009 insofar as the main blend door closes when you shut down and opens when you start up and then adjusts when it calcs the differential in temp (so ambient vs. call). It only co...

Re: AC Main Blend Door

It has happened to my truck too. The system just kind of gets confused. I thought it was a broken blend door like is common on 3rd gen trucks but the system reset and pow, cold AC again. I even pulled the glove box when I stopped for gas and plucked the blend door motor and harness. Guess being an ...

Re: AC Main Blend Door

I take it with 55 views and no replies either no one has had this issue or it self fixed like in my situation. I was somewhat concerned as this happened on a day that I was running all of the rough gravel roads in one of the plant propers I deal with regularly.

AC Main Blend Door

Anyone had there AC blend door decide to close randomly when the truck has been running for a while? 2017 and honestly the last time I had this happen it was with my 2009 1500 and it was a recall/re-map that was the issue.

Re: Thuren Test Drive

I just dropped my pressures to 48 front and 43 rear for DD. With all of the suspension work people are doing with the 4g trucks what are you doing with the 5th shock? I was thinking about what I want to do in the near future but I haven't found a post yet that deals with the shock associated with th...

Re: Tires! BFG KM3 Verus Toyo MT

I'm running the E rated KM3's on stock wheels on my 17' and so far so good. I run KM2's on my short wheel base 7000lb Scout in 33 x 10.50 x 15 and have had no issues either on the highway at as close to 70 as I can go, or in the rocks (what a TX resident calls rocks so Marble Falls/Big Bend) with no...

Re: 2018 Power Wagon Brake Issues

I would think that if we were still dealing with drum brakes but come on. We have four wheel discs. Low vacuum would be the limiting factor on the assist but that would/should result in a heavy/stiff pedal.

The cheap Chinese lights have a lot going for them. Same output, maybe an application of silicone to weatherproof them. I run them and have no issues. Betting the drivers, regardless of manufacturer are all made in the same plant. No. Chinese garbage is light years behind modern quality lighting. G...

Re: Strange A/C Problem

I'm no A/C expert but definitely sounds like something is wrong. On my 1500 2009 the compressor just died at 125K, no symptoms, but I keep an eye on any A/C issues that pop up in forums because I drive a black truck in Houston TX. For that one (the 2009) there was a reflash (recall) for the ECU for ...

Re: 2018 Power Wagon Brake Issues

I hear you on the feel, heavy initially and then tapering off as opposed to the linear feel of hydroboost or single stage/single diaphragm vacuum assist. Of course the transmission downshifting the way it does assists (and still feels weird) but I think better biting pads to start, and then when it ...

So far great. Better traction, better ride. Slightly more noise. But mostly it boils down to not stressing out about flats. Will take it for a quick loop around Silverton this weekend and see how they do more off-road. Honestly its not real impartial as I have used BFG AT or MT my entire life. Good...

Re: 2018 Power Wagon Brake Issues

In the rocks in 4Lo and/or locked up it is definitely a chore. Wish we had hydroboost instead of vacuum. I can't find it but I'm sure I read that it's a two stage booster so at least in my driving, stopping from speed is good up until 10 ish and below, and then it seems the boost comes off acting mo...
