Re: 2020 Power Wagon - Spied

Not a fan of the dial shifter especially when off road. I had one in a 2015 1500 and it was the one thing that really bugged me about the truck. It felt like the way the shifter should look on a small eastern European car. I like the 8 speed transmission, winch, and frame. Other than that I am not t...

Re: 2012 New to Me!

Glad you found the info you're looking for. If you ever run into an issue with finding something on the site, I would recommend calling Amsoil. They actually have real, helpful, people that work for Amsoil not some call center who will assist you with questions, orders, etc. I have always found them...

Re: 2012 New to Me!

I got a box of Thuren Overland Shocks today. Took off the factory Bilstein and replaced them with the Overlands. The driver side front is a pain in the butt to get in and out. I also got the shock boots, but they don't seem to attach that well, so I may cut them off. I took the truck for a test driv...

Re: New Severe Gear Oil Package

I changed the fluid in my front and rear diffs today mainly to see how the new packaging worked. I had been towing, hauling, in-town driving, and off roading this year with minimal "easy" miles. I wanted to see how the diffs looked after around 8,200 miles with lots of hard use. The oil looked brand...

Re: Hello All! 2018 Power Wagon

Sweet! Another Colorado Wagon! These are great trucks for the Rockies. I pass through the Eagle area from time to time. I am in Loveland, and I have a 2012. Welcome to the club. I am curious to see how the KO2's do for you.

Re: 37's Not Balancing

I got my 315 70 17 STT Pros at Sam's club and they balanced just fine. They are not the 37's but I would agree to have them look at replacing the tires. Did they try mounting them on different wheels?

Re: 2012 New to Me!

I noticed the chrome/plastic on my grille started to wrinkle up, so I began looking for a replacement grille. The factory ones were very expensive, so I decided to go a different route. I got it installed and it looks pretty cool....very cool for $149. The LEDs are yellow and they turn on along with...

2012 is a great year! I may be biased because I love mine. I also have some Thuren parts and a Volant CAI.

Welcome to the club! These guys are the best, and there is a wealth of info on this forum.

Re: New Severe Gear Oil Package

I have had a few customers who recently changed their gear oil using these packages, and they both spoke very highly of them. The one said it was the cleanest diff fluid change he has performed. He recently changed all of his fluids to Amsoil, and he told me these packages were the best part of the ...

Re: Good gasket for diffs?

Amsoil Severe Gear is my pick for fluid. I use the stock gasket that came with the truck. It was in perfect condition when I changed mine last year. I will probably change the oil this year to see how it is doing. If it looks good I will try a 2 year interval. If you need the Amsoil, send me a pm.

Re: Cooper or Maxxis?

I got some of the STT Pros on my truck this year, and so far they have been outstanding. I have 315 70 R17 size, and I replaced the control arms on my 2012. They have been really good off road. I am looking forward to taking them into the woods hunting this fall. I am looking to test out the mud/sno...

Re: 2012 New to Me!

I really like the topper so far. The visibility is very good, pretty normal for a topper. There are only 2 things I think could be improved. The back window handle seems like it may be prone to failure, and the side vent windows are finicky about closing. The mechanism seems a little weak. Other tha...

Re: Tire Feedback

I got to take my Cooper STT Pro's out yesterday for a little trip. They worked very well on gravel, rock, and a small amount of mud. I hit a few trails outside town, and I had a great day. The tires are very nice riding. They are a little stiffer than my Duratracs, but they are not noticeably noisie...

Re: 2012 New to Me!

Got the Thuren parts (Track Bar and Short Arms) put on this weekend. Had it aligned to Thuren specs, and the truck is running very nicely. I did not notice much difference in the feel of the suspension, but I have not done any hard driving with it yet. My suspension was not worn out yet either. Howe...
