Re: Upgrading to 35’s

Anyone with 35s know if the larger spare stuffed under the bed interferes with the rear track bar? I had to deflate and re inflate to get it up there. It seems like there’s just enough room for the track bar to not hit it but if I got into a major flex situation it might. Anyone had experience with ...

Re: Upgrading to 35’s

I had the dealer try to convince me today that the only way I can get the procal to work is to purchase through them and have them perform the work to the tune of $350. He said a special “flash” is needed for the truck to accept any of the changes, including changing the tire size and changing my fo...

Re: Upgrading to 35’s

After doing more research, I’m leaning towards the procal. It seems like it does everything I need it to without having to dig into my dash and install that bypass module. Did you have to install the bypass to use alfaobd?

Upgrading to 35’s

I am upgrading to 35’s this week and am wondering if I will be able to have four wheel parts (where I’m buying the tires) or the dealership change the speedometer programming for my truck after the bigger tires are on there. It’s a 2018 (built December 2017), and I thought I read something about nee...

Cold air intake

Which is preferred for the 6.4 from those who are using them, the K&N or S&B and what are your reasons behind choosing the one you did? I have always used K&N products but have heard good things about the S&B. Just wanted some feedback before pulling the trigger on one.

4wd shifter moves back when accelerating

I noticed today on a moderate acceleration my 4wd shifter moved back like 1 or 2 inches. I tested it out and it did it repeatedly. It’s not shifting out of 2wd but the movement seemed significant. I’ve never noticed this before on this truck (2018 with 9k miles), my previous power wagon, or my TJ. J...

Re: WK Sliders - To diamond plate or not?

I have the full length diamond plate and prefer it. You can unbolt the diamond plate of you decide to take it off. Or you can get partial length diamond plate. The thing that I found most useful as a step is to have them made 1"wider. Then they really work well as a step. So, I have the 1" extra wi...

Re: Grind/rub on Acceleration

I am getting some issues on my 2018 now as well, over the last week or so. At times even turning it feels like the LSD is sticking.( but most times not at all) But I also got a nasty clang, clang pulling away from a stop sign yesterday and a buzzing under the dash from the traction control. What di...

Re: Grind/rub on Acceleration

I noticed this recently on my 2018 on a moderate to hard take off from a stoplight. I have the stock 33” duratracs still. It sounded to me like a traction control type sound. I would turn off traction control and see if it does it again. I wasn’t too concerned because I attributed to that, but it w...

Re: I Give Up! RustyPW was RIGHT

I love my 2018, but I can’t see shit over the hood when I’m wheeling compared to my 05 haha. Definitely need to get that nanny kill switch, I’ve had too many episodes with brakes not working in 4low.

Re: Engine Oil Temperature

I have a 2018 with 7k miles on it now. I have never really paid attention to my engine oil temperature, so I can’t speak to that. But I have noticed some weird smells coming from my truck when I have towed heavily uphill or worked it hard uphill. The first time I noticed it was after a 10 mile climb...

Re: Canadian trucks

I bought my first power wagon from a dealership who had bought it at an auction somewhere in British Columbia. It had a ton of rust on the frame and underside of the body. If I had to do it over, I would have been more cautious about what I was getting myself into. I was concerned with the level of ...

Hello! I've visited the site a few times and thought it was time to register. I drive an 07 PW now but am looking to get into a 4th gen here pretty soon. Appreciate all the info that I've found so far!
What part of Idaho are you from? I’m over in meridian. On my second power wagon now.

Well I’m going to have to wait on the WK’s until I can convince my wife that they are a good investment. In the mean time, I’m going to put some nerf steps on it. Anyone had experience with these? Rough country stuff is usually not very high quality, but I like the look of these way better than any...

I had a similar issue going on with my previous power wagon. I agree with damage wagon, start with your track bar and then move to the u joints after that. Mine had a bad wheel bearing and was behaving similarly to what you’re experiencing, but I think it was in conjunction with a bad u joint. U joi...

Re: Frustrated with 2012 PW design flaws and repeated fixes

2, 3, and 6 on my first power wagon. I was constantly chasing issues on it. I felt like I could never trust it and it was going to leave me stranded in the mountains. It was an 05 with 60k miles on it when I bought it. After replacing just about every front end component on it, as well as all idler ...

I would do this deal too. Located in Idaho.
I sent you a pm
I should have been more clear with my post. I have the stock 2018 wheels as well and would trade someone for their all black Mojave wheels if located in Idaho.
