Re: EMF or Dynatrac Ball Joints?

The US dealer off the EMF site shows them in stock. I think I like the simplicity of the EMF unit, though the needle-bearing approach in the Dynatrac is appealing. Suppose the real question is how they differ in handling when worn, and how long is that between rebuilds. Obviously, the EMF is less ex...

EMF or Dynatrac Ball Joints?

6k+ of washboard AZ roads getting to/from my home to pavement has done its' job on my 83k mile 2016 joints.

Which of the two rebuildable solutions to go with?

What are you using as lift-points on the PW and what do you expect to achieve with that Hi_lift?

Probably isn't the LED. Either the driver for it or a connection.

Re: Trackbar or other popping sound

already have the emf bushing fix completed. Im still confident this is occuring from the axles shifting, not so much from the steering input itself. off camber road crown shifts(regrading/repaving highway) with no steering input will still thrust a pop sound from the trackbar (i think) Ok on the bu...

Re: Trackbar or other popping sound

Have you looked at you upper intermediate steering shaft coupler? The rubber in the isolator fails and you will get slop and a click in the wheel that can also be felt in the brake/throttle as they are all part of the same sub-assembly attached to the firewall. EMF has a press in bushing fix that I ...

I wouldn't eliminate them. Heck, I use them to monitor tire temps when running long stretches air'd down (less than 20 psi).

Re: Bf Goodrich Ko2 tread excessive tread wear

I work for Discount Tire. Over a year ago I talked with some of the guys at my local store, and they said they highly discourage KO2's for heavy truck applications due to rapid wear. Not sure if Michelin (BFG) has changed the formulation any since then. I just switched from two year old General X3's...

Re: LED Headlights

5k HID low and high. LED might be better in your area for high beams. Got them from HR. Impressive difference with nice sharp easy to aim cutoff from the OEM projectors.

6 months is too short a timeframe for reliability report however, so other than they still work I can't provide much.

Re: dual battery installation suggestions?

Mine is mounted inside my Four Wheel Camper. But that doesn't help you much. 😁 Personally, if all you're running is a fridge, I would not worry about a second battery. There really isn't anywhere to put it unless you go underneath somewhere with a AGM. Carry a good jump pack and set the disconnect v...

Manual Temp control to Single Zone Auto - 4th Gen

So my '16 is just a tad step higher than a Tradesman. 8.4 Uconnect, tow mirrors were the only options. (that 8.4 must have also triggered the Dragon's Puke decals too). So pretty much the poverty package. I was content at the time when new with it being a fairly base truck though there were some fea...

Re: LED fog Bulbs

Headlight Revolution. 5000k or lower. Our projector housings are actually pretty decent. Nice sharp cutoff that you'll need to make sure you adjust accordingly. I also did HID for the highs, which work for where I drive in rural areas of AZ, but if you're situation is more on/off highs, their LED ch...

Re: A major wheel vendor would like some input

I didn't want to bring up AEV for various reasons either, but they do seem like the go-to for wheels that fit the two size needs. But personally I think it would be nice to have a couple more style options than what they offer. The ones with the holes, are IMHO, not very attractive.

A major wheel vendor would like some input

I work for a large nationwide tire and wheel retailer. I've been asked to provide feedback as to what wheel spec's we'd most like to see for our 2014+ RAMs to target a ~37-40" tire. What is the perfect offset range for a 17x8.5 8-6.5? Is it Thuren's recommended +18? Is there another diameter/width c...
