Re: 2018 Death Wobble - Buy Once Cry Once

why are you using centramatics? honestly i would try and get them out of there as theyre only covering a problem. check road force and see where your at now. hopefully not around 30lb. probly have to do match mount. maybe even dismount then some rim and tire swapping. 15lb is good if you can manage ...

Re: Anybody build a driveline protection solution that works?

hmm i was just at the dealer. nothing at all looks different about the 19+ pw axles that i could tell. ill have to go back and have a closer look i guess. subtle changes i suppose. i did easily notice the non pw models have a entirely new rear axle but the front didnt look any different , perhaps i ...

Re: Anybody build a driveline protection solution that works?

I think that is a cheap view of the new trucks. They’re making nice improvements, particularly in steering reliability, payload and NVH. They enlarged the rear axle tubes, made new axle castings front and rear, added a forged steel trackbar mount, changed transfer cases, etc. It’s not that there’s ...

Re: 14+ Possible Fan Clutch failure?

Thoughts? Any of you guys had a clutch go bad? 69k currently on the clock. i think there was a batch of bad fans. my 16 had a bad one from day one. clutch was engaging when it wasnt supposed to. new replacement wasnt disengaging correctly either. i think it was just some type of malfunction of the ...

Re: be glad you have a pw

i guess so many of the new ford super duties have developed death wobble that i think some people are trying to file lawsuit against ford. i wonder if the super duty front end is just so weak that the wobble is inevitable ? for curiousity ive been to the local ford dealer checking out the trucks and...

I'm running 5.13s and 37s on my 2018. Running just over 2100rpms at 75mph. sounds about the same as 35s with 4.10. was hoping 5.13 would be closer to 2500rpm. oh well. what shops are knowledgable in the wagon axles that can do the 5.13 swap ? im about 2.5hrs from salt lake. 4hr from cheyenne. 6hr f...

Re: confused trans

some questions that we glaze over but drastically influence tire performance, and rolling resistance.... PSI of all four tires? did you come from 12 inch wide or 13 inch wide treads with the 35s? in fact what brand and tire did you come from and go to? did you get an alignment whatsoever? shift the...

Re: confused trans

You can program tire size with either an AEV ProCal or the AlfaOBD app on an android device. What sounds are you hearing from your suspension??? Is this all engine and tire noise or is this suspension noise? That system should be silent. the suspension is fine , although it feels like a marshmellow...

Program the truck for the tire size. Really helps. There is also a transmission relearn sequence that can be triggered but wait until you reprogram the tire size.

Re: confused trans

Did you remove the exhaust resonator at some prior point? If so you might be hearing the MDS kicking in more when you let off the throttle at higher speed. Do RPMs go up like if is downshifting from 6-5? no the exhaust is stock and new condition. i didnt even consider mds but maybe thats whats maki...

Re: confused trans

no i havent done anything. its a stock 2017 up until this point. i did have 35s previously but the truck did fine with no odd behavior or noises. these new 37s really took the wind out of its sails and created all kinds of strange noises. like i said, groaning sounds from lugging and what seems to b...
