Maybe I'm being too cautious, but I'd want some kind of cage/protection around that stem. No?

SOLID Rear Diff Cover 2014+

Bought this from another guy on here who said it was for a 10.5" cover... it wasn't... $50 plus shipping to you (ships from 14086). Comes with the cover, hardware, and RTV. Nice heavy nodular iron cover. I put one on the front diff, and it's beefy for sure. They don't make one for the 10.5", otherwi...

Sounds like someone's a bit of a snowflake! Haha. Sorry, bad pun...

If you'd just cover it in salt, like everything else in this frozen hell, it would stop working altogether and you'd never have to worry about unsticking a frozen hook again!

Re: Bought a Jeep

FYI, they had the brake-lock traction control system, and while it's certainly not a locker, you'd be surprised what it'll do stock with that system alone. Put it in 4lo, and get a wheel up and spinning, and the computer applies brake force to just that spinning wheel, the diff routes power to the o...

Re: 4th gen units ready to ship immediately.

No... You could hardwire the lockers, but that'll require bypassing the factory switch. Might screw with your smartbar too (I don't remember). I plan on keeping my truck for a while, so I'm tempted just to hardwire them. They'll have instant engagement, but you won't have any feedback that they're l...

Well, to be fair, they're exercising their 1A rights, and they can run their business however they want... That said, the people cheering Dick's on for exercising that right are the same fucktards that told christian bakers they had to sell to LGBT customers, or muslims. They think it only works in ...

I'd be interested too. I'm up in Buffalo though, not too far a ride from Pitt. but more than I'd want to do in an afternoon.

Re: Lost oil pressure after high-speed offroad

If you were running that hard, and stared the pickup for oil, you could have dropped pressure momentarily. Long enough and you'll damage main bearings, which would result in the drop in oil pressure consistently. I'd cut open those oil filters looking for anything unusual for the next few changes. A...

Interested as well... Mine do the same thing, and I keep having to put new tape on. I don't want anything way wider either... Those AEV cutout flares that will stuff bigger tires do look interesting, but for the price, no thank you!

Forgot to mention, I installed my DodgeOffroad steering brace this afternoon. It was not to bad given my relative novice mechanical abilities. I really enjoy working on this truck, and I look forward to getting better at it. My steering was pretty good to begin with, but this made it feel just like...

Re: Buffalo auto show.......

I like the '13... Sure, I don't have the 6.4L, or the rear coils, but I have the good front end, and 4.56 gears. Plus, '13 has the updated interior of the 14's... It's almost the perfect compromise. I talked to the same rep at the auto show TwinStick. Can't recall his name either, but he didn't seem...

That MLK commercial was great, and anyone who bitches about it is a total snowflake... First, the same people bitching about it being used to sell trucks didn't even know that speech existed in the first place, let alone had they heard it before. Just bringing it to light and exposing it to millions...

Re: Need some math help here...........................

Have you tried the impeller mod yet? You'll get more throw with that than you will from upping the impeller speed. Take some rubber pieces, and self tapping screws with some big washers, and screw the rubber pieces to the impeller so that they contact the housing very lightly. It'll give you a tight...

Re: Heavy duty suspension

Shocks valved for a vehicle with roll issues will 100% have a huge impact on controlling roll. Just by adjusting the bypasses on my rear shocks I can go from having almost zero roll to having my truck flop like a fish. @reloaderguy might be able to chime in here. Your symptom was addressed, but at ...

Re: Heavy duty suspension

Shocks won't really help roll. You've increased the load on the dampers (shocks), so you should upgrade them with stiffer valving, but it still won't help body roll... You've increased the height of your CG, so it's going to roll more unless you increase the roll stiffness... The only way to do that...

Re: 2016 PW Bumper LineX

I was quote $1200 locally to do the front and rear bumper, and both rocker panels below the style line. A lot of it depends on where you live and how many competitors are around. We have a few different guys that do Line-x, and others that do similar products, so it keeps them from gouging on price.

50K miles? Where are you from? They go at least 80k around here, unless you're driving through water/mud regularly. I've had sets in the hauler go 200k miles without showing any real wear when I've taken them out and inspected the caps (mostly highway, hauling horse trailers). If I pull the wheel be...

Don't know how you were setup, but pulling out of a ditch is always difficult as like you said, the car wants to stay down there... If it's possible, hook a chain, strap, whatever to the back of that vehicle to an anchor on the high side of the ditch, perpendicular(ish) to how you'll pull them out. ...

you really only need to mask off the inner circle of the sensor. The outer part is just the clip that fastens it to the bumper.
