Re: Painting Sliders - paint brand recommendations?

Any brand name rust paint works awesome. I sanded mine and painted two coats of rust paint. It’ll last forever. Get the good rust proof paint

Re: Airlifter 5000 Ultimate airbags w/ Daystar cradles '14+

Has anyone thought of connecting the airlines together before the fill port? I really don’t haul uneven loads. And if one bag is leaking for some reason I’d like them to stay the same pressure. My two thoughts

Airbags

I have seen countless threads on this forum since I joined about air bags. . I have been hauling lots of firewood with my 18 wagon this year. And let me tell you. It’s goddamn scary. The back end is either right on the rubbers or it wiggles back and forth at highway speeds in the back end. Makes you...

Anybody know if there is an easy way to get the rooftop clearance lights to stay on all the time without turning headlights on?

Sway bar disconnects in 4hi

Interesting thing happened last weekend. Was out looking for whitetails and went through a big ditch. Had it in 4lo so I disconnected sway bar and locked the diffs. Crawled through without a hitch as usual. But when I shifted back to 4 hi I noticed the sway bar was still disconnected! Shifted back a...

Ya that’s what I do. Turn the switch to just marker lights. I wish we could turn all lights off. You would think it would be very simple for the engineers to design. But then again. They are “engineers”

Dick Cepek. Toughest tire I’ve ever owned.
They may be made by cooper. But they make them to different standards.

Re: Extreme Country or Fun country

Well. After 2 days of testing I have to say that these tires are really good. A tad bit noisier than stock. But the real difference is how the truck handles. I can’t believe how terrible the stock tires are. It’s incredible. Night and day. What a difference.

Tried mine out last night. In reverse, low range. Hard to stop. But that’s a lot of torque. Plus you’ve got the elevated idle in low range. I’m sure they are all the same.

Is anyone else receiving private messages from some guy half way across the country that “loves” your powerwagon. And wants to buy it? Total scam

So what did the Ave procal do for that. Just to dial in the tire size so it can update the speedo? Or does it update shift points and so on?

Extreme Country or Fun country

:cash: So one of my duratracs was leaking from the sidewall. No marks or gouges. Unrepairable I’m told. I’m sick of these junk duratracs. Thinking of Dick Cepek. I had fun country on my last truck and loved them. But am torn between them or the extreme country. Anybody have any experience with the e...

Max tire size

First off I want to apologize for a topic I’m sure has been beat to death. I woke up to a flat front tire. Took it in to get fixed and there is a hole in the sidewall that is unrepairable. 15k Km. You can’t even see the hole. Anyways I’ve heard nothing good about these duratracs. 90% of my driving i...

Trans shift update

Had the two recalls don’t to my ,17 powerwagon. I’ve read that there’s negative comments about the reflash, so I was reluctant. But I love what they’ve done. Downshifts a lot better than it used to. You can really feel it. Not sure what’s not to like?

I agree the horn in these trucks are horrible. They have a delay and it is impossible to just give someone a quick toot. It sounds for like a second, minimum.

I know this has been discussed to depth. I just want to make sure. The consensus is Thuren diff cov in the front and purple cranium in the rear. Plus there was a guy selling skid plates but don’t recall what for
