Re: Adding a front camera to a 2019?

A handful of businesses make the kits that interface with the OEM radio. Most are pricey, otherwise you'll have to power it and run it to its own monitor. I thought I read somewhere the '19s had a front camera or was an option (and you did say that). Infotainment.com and Camerasource.com come to min...

Barn doors. I can't see the latching mechanism, but I could see a load shifting, push open the gates, and spill out the load. I wonder what the weight rating is before the latches fail.

Re: 2018 vs 2019 First impressions

Has the drag link been redesigned? I saw a YouTube video where a guy went to a dealer and looked under a '19 2500 and sure enough the drag link was different. I can't find any '19 mechanical parts available online, but was planning to buy one to see if the drag link out of a '19 PW would fit a '16 a...

Tie Down Cleats

These are the cleats that are fixed to the bed box utility rail and I assume these are not available separately since after searching around the various online MOPAR parts sites don't seem to offer these separately. Does anyone know if the cleats are available, without having to buy the entire syste...

The way trucks are priced, I'm betting $70K for a gasser and about $80K for diesel and that's with entry level trim. In a few years trucks will be 6 figures, maybe sooner.

Re: Exhaust

Which of the 2 Magnaflow kits did you get? The one with the dual tips or the single 4"? I went with single outlet. I did have an issue with the mid pipe. I could not get the OEM pipe off as it was tac welded at the Y-Pipe collector so left it on and cut the kit's mid pipe to length. I didn't want t...

Re: Exhaust

I've ran Gibson and MagnaFlow cat-backs. Currently running MagnaFlow. The MagnaFlow is okay, doesn't drone when cruising, throaty, tame, but not obnoxiously loud, even at heavy acceleration. I do run the full kit, resonator and muffler, some on here delete one or the other. Then there is custom exha...

If I'm not mistaken, pretty sure there is some sort of heat exchanger on the filter adaptor or it's tied into the coolant circuit.

Re: Cold air intake

I am not running CAI, but AFE also makes an enclosed CAI for Power Wagons. I use a an AFE dry media filter in the OEM air box. Not sure these enclosed CAIs are of any value unless you are running a tune or some sort of forced air induction. I wouldn't run an exposed filter that pulls hot from engine...

Similar to my '16 Tradesman. Although the window sticker title says, Ram 2500 Power Wagon Tradesman Crew Cab 4x4, directly under the base price it says Ram 2500 ST Crew Cab 4x4, then following the standard equipment lists, it has optional equipment followed by the Power Wagon Tradesman Package 22B. ...

Significant outlay, assuming you can find a competent axle shop, dealers not included. If I had the right equipment and know how it'd be a DYI for sure.

Re: EMF steering linkage?

Interesting conversation. I was looking DOR drag link to replace the OE link with the latest recall out on it. Haven't taken it in for the recall yet. I'm leery about the recall fix, assuming all is good, to weld the jam nuts. Doesn't make sense and no longer able to center steering wheel when neede...

Re: Missing smart bar

It's one of 5 new unsold smart bars in the country. This caught my attention. Would you elaborate? Low volume parts for 11 year old trucks get obsoleted and existing stock gets used up. Ah, gotcha. I guess I didn't put it together. I was generally under the impression enough parts were in the suppl...

Don't count your chickens before the eggs hatch. My '16 has the "4WD shift in progress" issue and it has yet to be resolved. Dealer just reflashed PCM or other module. Lousy dealer anyway and doubt any Ram dealer around here is worth spit. I'll eventually get around to swapping out parts until it go...

Re: Summer Gas

Straight gas is a rare find anymore. It seem to vary quite a bit by location. It's common near my place in WV. Usually 87 or 92, but the station near me has a sticker that says 89.5, which is good for the 6.4. You can check this link for stations that sell it in your area. https://www.pure-gas.org/...

if the suspension, axles, and actual frame side mounts are beef enough...ill jump ship for sure. not quite sure thats the same AAM i have now? But if i can beat on the TRX without breaking it, its a worthwhile drive train package...probably get better gas mileage too. My hellcat did 21MPG at 85MPH....

1500 badge on the hood and 1500 aesthetics front and rear. Plus it looks like one of those midnight edition/package (AKA murdered out). 700+ HP? I thought I read somewhere Ram was going to stuff a HC engine in one of the trucks. This maybe it. Competition for Ford's Shelby Baja Raptor I would guess.

I have this issue. Kept taking to dealer, they kept updating/reflash SW, tried shifting into and out of 4 Hi and Lo, it finally stopped for a few months. Came back from trip and it stated again. I give up. Maybe replace a sensor or 2 and see what happens when I have the time. Around here, there ain'...

Re: 6.4 with camshaft/crankshaft sensor engine codes

Already said, but could be bad gas. If it is, it'll be a major PITA, but drain tank and flush out the lines. Doubt warranty would cover damage or repairs as a result of running contaminated gas. But who knows, stranger things happen. Maybe siphon out a gallon or so and see if any water is in it. I'd...
