Re: Improving fuel mileage

Thanks guys, just asked a question!!! New to owning a Power Wagon and I like to know my vehicle!! Gas guzzler for sure. Might check some of the hypermiler forums. Those folks live to find ways to squeeze every mile out of a gallon of gas. I would imagine some one has developed techniques for trucks...

Re: highway robbery

dudes on the ram site claim the new ones only $135 Did they cite a URL? On MOPAR Parts Counter Website it lists for $600+. For some reason late models truck parts are slow to release. This is the only site I've seen thus far where 2019 model year link is available. Found it and read through it. I t...

Re: highway robbery

After being passed up the chain to a star case manager, they say there’s nothing they can do because my track bar is within specs and welded. FCA IS calling this their permanent solution to the track bar problem. They won’t reimburse me for the synergy because mine was welded already. This is prett...

Re: What did you do to your PW this week?

Phillips X-Treme Vision is the prevailing halogen upgrade for the standard quad lamps. Not my recommendation, but recommended by people who live and breath automotive lighting. The bulbs have short life though.

Agree, major PITA to change bulbs.

Re: Chains up front?

Probably because the stock tire on a dually is pretty narrow and chain wouldn't be slapping/hitting the suspension. A 3500 4WD Dually with 33s and up is another matter.

Re: Chains up front?

What does the owner's manual say? Mine says no go. Just asking the obvious.

Seems contact with something as the front components are pretty close to inboard side of tire.

Re: Stainless brake lines

KLM Performance sells lines for various years up to 2018, however a complete set is over $300 and there is installation note about the rear caliber lines that is probalmatic for me. It requires cutting and flaring the steel lines. KLM notes the front lines replace the entire OEM line from the MC to ...

https://www.moparpartscounter.com/v-201 ... ring-shock Definitely a different design from both Synergy and the OEM link. Yep, it ain't cheap. The dealer in SC said FCA plans to replace the links with newer desgin, but no date set.

$633 plus postage for 19 draglink. no thanks ill take my chances with the old version that might pull apart and send me in the ditch Surprised FCA is selling, rather than replacing. I stopped in Charleston, SC largest Ram dealer several months ago and the parts person said FCA had a replacement, bu...

Re: Weirdness with Nav after Time Change

There was a GPS roll over, or whatever it's called, on the birds on or about NOV 3rd, or so I am told. 18.45, for most 8.4AN, is the fix. My distance was off by several hundred feet and the navigation would go crazy after making a turn and recalculating for several seconds, sometimes minutes.

Re: Rear reverse light pods

I'd wire them on their own circuit with the reverse light triggering a relay or on a switch in the cab. The center pin on 7-pin connector is supposed to the aux/back up light connection. Not sure of the wire color, probably, blk, yel, or purple

Re: Front rear cameras

Thanks I will look into NAV TV. And my 2017 does not have back up cam, can be added easy according to most but the front throws a kink in it. Summit racing sells a kit I like but just not sure. Been thru Kingsport several times over the years, pretty country. I am half way between Knoxville and Cha...

I now have had the PowerSteps for about a week. Absolutely love them. They tuck out of the way helping the keep the original look of the PW and at the same time provide the perfect height when deployed for anyone to use. So far everyone who has seen and used them on my truck loves them. Which brand...

Re: Front rear cameras

Kits are available for rear, front, side and cargo, but they are pricey and have some limitations depending on the model year. The kit interfaces with UConnect radio and displays on the screen on 5 and 8.4 radios. Otherwise like above, buy the piece parts along with monitor and wire it up. I think M...

I was waiting on something innovative with the hype and when the end product was released, not impressed. I can see this is cover is not suitable for a 4WD unless building a SEMA-like, non-functional suspension truck. The scoop or duct thing would likely get caught on something and cover cracked or ...

Re: Geolandar X-AT?

I was thinking of going with Toyo OC CTs, not only M&S rated, but 3-peak rated for severe snow service (reviews vary on this rating). I spend most of time on hardball and pavement; no aggressive off road. Reviews are mixed on CT, but what the hell. Tire preference is very subjective. Truck will like...

Hell, I'm 6'2" and headroom is tight. Something about the cabs make them seem smaller. My guess is no aftermarket seat rails, so a custom rail would need to be be fabbed, likely at considerable expense

One of the members here had reinforced notch fabbed into factory plate. That plate may be able to be adjusted some depending where it's at now. I recall the plate is bolted to frame on tab/hanger.

CAD alright. Looks like the actuator housing seal or housing is leaking. Assume it's under warranty, take it to dealer and get it fixed.

Re: PowerSteps

The AMP power steps have safety switch that stops deploy/stow when a certain level of voltage is exceeded. You can also force the steps to stay deployed by stepping on them, apply pressure, and shut door. They'll stay deployed until you open and close door. Not sure what good that does, you really c...
