Re: Hanging up the winch, moving on.

Did ya check on your part number yet? Just wondering if this will work for my Truck or not thanks Sorry been crazy busy. It is the u7137, I am not sure it would work for a 09'. To be safe I would contact Diablo and have them verify. On the 08' it was supposed to be 30hp on the 93 tune, it was notic...

Re: Hanging up the winch, moving on.

I have been wanting to look at an eco-diesel but around here, they are like the phoenix, people have heard of them but no one has ever actually seen one. I test drove one a few years back but it had a deal pending & was sold by the time i got back from the test drive. Small world---a guy I used to ...

Re: Hanging up the winch, moving on.

Thanks everyone. I am sure I will miss RED, the times I used it as intended it always impressed me. 2 weeks ago I was helping some friends and was ripping out shrubs in 4lo, 1st gear and just letting the clutch out with no gas....it was so easy. The new truck will go a different direction, I may do ...

Hanging up the winch, moving on.

Short version, I am trading my truck in this week on a new fully loaded QC 1500 sport. Longer version, Love the wagon but never used it as intended, bought it because I was looking for a Laramie 2500, and found the wagon, the stick sealed the deal for me. I have had it for about 6 years and never ha...

Re: New Toyo AT2's, bad squirm on the highway!

dropped the tires to 45F and 35R and it seems a good bit better.

The tire are new and very fresh (Week 24 of 16) so they have the mold release and have not hardened up yet.

Towed my 2 place with 1500lbs+ and it was fine this time on the highway.

Re: Platinum or better spark plugs?

I did the cheaper Iridiums of Rock auto, ran the same after, been 2 years and no codes or issues.

It was $20 more for better plugs.

Like everyones says the stock plugs are what the hemi likes most.

Re: New Toyo AT2's, bad squirm on the highway!

I am thinking its time for a tracbar, I still have a clunk up front at certain times and everything else is tight. And these tire are super sensitive to the crown in the road, way more that the nittos. Dealer says no alignment needed for ball joints, was aligned when the tie rod recall was done and ...

New Toyo AT2's, bad squirm on the highway!

I was on the highway last night for the first time with the new tires, holy shit are they squirmy!!!! The truck rides way better than the Nitto's TG's, but I was a little nervous on the highway with the numb steering feedback and slow reaction time (70ish). Tires are at 48F and 38R, front feels very...

Re: Tire Feedback

New tires, Toyo ATs in 305-70-17 (34 x 12.50), replaced 1/2 worn 295-70 Nitto Trails due to tire noise. The Toyo's ride better, are quieter (make some noise, just not bogger loud). Real test for me will be snow performance. As long as they don't suck as bad as the AT's I will be happy. http://i1036....

New AT2's (305's) and BJ's installed, its so quiet!

Hi, Posted about needed new BJ's and what to go with, at the end of the day I just spent the $100 deductible and had OE's done (might be trading in next winter before the Added care is done). They also did my front pinion seal while they were there as it had progress from a little drip to a bit wet....

Looking good. 35's were too big for your taste? Not at all, I would have loved 35's however there were a couple of things holding me back. They were $132 more for (4) to only gain .5" in height and .25 wider I don't see the need to pay that much more and possible have rub issues. Also the min. rim ...

...I measured my bumps to the axle, 3.5" front/4" back, I think the OEM Bilsteins have more travel than that. Its not just the full travel... it is just the uptravel from ride height. Well personally, I would be measuring the collapsed length of the stock shocks just to make absolute sure I wasnt u...

Re: Broken shock mount

Looks like the PW were not plagued with the failing tracbar welds, instead the shock mounts were not welded fully leaving them weak and in this case allowing added stress to sheer the mount.

Re: 305-70-17 vs 285-75-17, help me chose (Toyo AT2)

I just suggested the 285/75s for a bit less rolling resistance. Either size will do you well. If you went to 315/70 you would be closer to a 35 but I never seen a reason to do. 305. 1cm difference? You wouldn't notice I debated on the 285-75's, I just not a pizza cutter guy. They would be better fo...

Re: Flashing rear locker after being on the highway, sensor

Little update.

Was talking to my guy at the dealer about this and he asked me about the fluid level and I told him its almost to the hole.

He commented that its overfull and might be foaming from being overfull, he recommended taking some out.
Gonna give it a try.

Re: Time for ball Joints. Do i go OE, Carli or Dynatrac

Bumping this as I have been putting it off due to life being busy. Have new tires on the way (AT2's) and plan to have the BJ's and universals done when I get my tires mounted and balanced (labor covered by warranty). So. Carli or Dynatrac, decided not to go OE as I don't want to deal with BJ's again...

305-70-17 vs 285-75-17, help me chose (Toyo AT2)

I am done with the trail grapplers and the noise/harsh ride. Love the 295/70/17 width and square shoulder, AT2's are not avail. in this size. Killer deal right now on treaddepot 305's are 33.9 x 12.2 -- $858 shipped 285's a 33.9 x 11.3 -- $850 shipped Both are ok for the stock 8" rims. I really like...

Re: Rear hop between 45 and 50 mph, anyone else?

Rotated the tires this weekend, no noticeable change in the hop. One rim did have allot of weight and its now on the front, and now I feel shaking in the steering wheel. Guess I am gonna have the tires balanced one more time some where else, hopefully they can tell me if they are out of round. Right...

Who is runnin 305/70/17 Toyo AT2's? (looking for pics)

Thinking of ditching the Nitto trails in favor of a smoother and quieter AT. I love the 295/70/17 size and think its perfect, but alas AT2's are not available in 295. This leaves the 285/70/17 or the 305/70/17 in the extreme version. Both are the the same OAH however there is about a 1" difference i...

Wow cactus you got a gremlin!!! Don't get it wet or feed it after midnight lol. So after a mile it goes away completely? That's a weird one. In 08twin's case is sounds like a constant so that's where I'd lean solid on tire or rims to start. Then shocks. Also being the nittos trail grapplers you're ...
