Re: Nitrogen in tires???

I'm pretty sure that there is no measurable benefit in the Power Wagon using Nitrogen. I typically only add air to my tires once a year - in December after the outside temp drops below 0 degrees. AND - since we have TPMS, I never have to check the pressures with a gauge. Considering we are...

I use nitrogen for on board air. It works in tires. It also works air tools well with almost nil moisture. But you gotta pay to play right
That's probably quite the setup... pics? Specs? Probably cost a lot

Re: Nitrogen in tires???

Costco does it... just remember atmosphere is 78%nitrogen... so you're paying to get another 20% or so... helpful in high performance situations and racing where tires heat up between laps...

I think it was 15$ per tire or so

Re: Fender Flares

Need some input... should i paint match my fender or stay with black I vote black, especially if you have the two-tone black stripe on the bottom. For some reason color-matched flares always look funny to me, I like a little contrast. I dont have the stripe... but will have black wk sliders soon......

Re: Fender Flares

Some holes may not line up so you drill your plastic liner and put a nut to hold it.

I may do mine by end of the month... just realized it may stick out too far.. i may go for the textured if it does.. will post pics when I'm done

I'll say ! It is the most HD one I have ever seen. Also... :cash: :cash: :cash:
Definitely HD... also rebuildable..

Actually with the strong US to CDN rate price is cheaper than similar options...

The adjustability will make it last a long time

Re: Recent Warranty Work

Speaking of ball joints, any of you new truck owners have wobbly uppers yet? When i rotated my tires for the first time with under 3000 miles there was already a little play in them. I figured they came that way from the assembly line. My uppers were tight but replaced it anyway. 42kmiles on them. ...

Re: Painting rock sliders

POR-15 will hold up a LOOONG time. I painted the frame on my C3 Corvette with that stuff. It also stayed on my hands for an entire month no matter how much mineral spirits I used. That stuff is nasty. Use gloves if you work with it. If you get it on something, it's never coming off. LOL It is crazy...

Eastwood.com since that's pretty much the only online source I know for that stuff. Also where I got my POR-15. You ever find a better deal, let me know.

Re: Painting rock sliders

I double checked my orders. I bought 6 cans total. And one can is staring at me here on the shelf in my garage unused. So 1 1/2 on the sliders plus 3 on the bumper and rack seems pretty decent. Round takes less. It was the flat surface I felt was blowing through it. I really love the color. I do wo...

Re: Painting rock sliders

I put on a lot of coats. I think 1 and a half can did the sliders. The bumper actually took a surprisingly lot more. But I probably put like 5-8 coats on now that I think about it. Probably went over-kill, considering I scratched it all up already, lol. I figure now though, I'm just going to touch ...

Re: Painting rock sliders

I had mine Powder Coated, like I put in my most recent video, it won't last if you use your truck. Good call on painting. I sanded mine, used a rust inhibitor and then used a self-etching primer. Afterwards I painted them with Eastwood Two-Part paint in Rat Rod Satin Black. Oh man do I love the loo...

Re: EMF ball joints installed

I damn near broke my snap on press trying to get the old ball joints out of my axle after it had been trussed. All the heat from welding the 3/8” knuckle gussets hardened the knuckle bore I think. When it let go finally it literally sounded like a gun lol Good looking joints, emf makes quality stuf...

My chains arrived... in a sack... and it is heavy....

For a backup, I would recommend the cables... much easier to install and lighter and comes in a nice carrying case...
