Re: Rear Springs tuftruck ttc-1225

Again. Cannot thank you all enough. Final question. I will not need spacers for the airbags, correct? There is enough bag for the power wagon lift, right? Thanks so much LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate plus Daystar cradle is a proven solution on Power Wagons, over and over and over again. The problem with...

Re: Rear Springs tuftruck ttc-1225

Ahh... this. This is a problem I've solved. Part of that is the weak ass Duratrac sidewalls acting all squirrelly. Another part is to add the airbags mentioned above. There are a few writeups on this site on the setup. Another part is the terrible angle of the rear trackbar. You address those three ...

Re: Rear Springs tuftruck ttc-1225

Those look like 1500 springs. I'd return those and get Airlift Airbags 5000 and Daystar Cradles. That way you keep your flex and can airup to tow. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk The springs the OP bought are for 2500, and are designed to be STIFFER than regular 2500 springs (but the product p...

Re: 37 Tire in a 7' Garage?

I'm fairly sure your math is off. I won't go in a parking garage under 7'3". I think I can maybe clear a 7'2" or 7'1" MAYBE... but not a 7.

Re: Well...this sucks

Shock mounts are weak BUT if all the geometry is correct should never break because they should never see downward force. The shock should stop before that. The bumpstop stops the downward force before force is applied to the shock mount. In the up swing the shock mount would see some light extendi...

Re: Well...this sucks

Absolutely. I’m wondering if the boogies are allowing too much compression. Don’t the kings have some some kind of internal bumpstop? It will be interesting to hear what Don says. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Yeah, not sure. But I have the boogies too so I shoulda broke a shock mount by now. ...

Are you using Thuren springs? His full kit? I'd call Don. That shouldn't happen with his stuff. It's usually from shock extensions..

Re: WK Sliders - To diamond plate or not?

I have just the tube. Works perfect. I did use some rubberized grip tape that looks nice and has stayed in place for years. Wife doesn't complain... and she complains about everything. If your super concerned get the plate... I didn't want the extra weight or a ledge for mud and ice to collect ontop...

Re: 17 dual alternator install

The dual setup is 380. But yes, the more I think about it I think one large one would be better. I still like the idea to use a belt driven compressor in that second location for on-board air. Yeah, that'd be nice. I'd love a belt driven compressor that could air up tires and airbags... S...

Re: 17 dual alternator install

So, went to a good friend of mine at Dodge Ram. Due to PCM restrictions and VIN mapping, even if I install all the parts and the wiring harness yhe PCM will not accept the flas code. RAM has started mapping all accessories to the vin and PCM. So my only recourse is to the 220 amp alternator. Hope I...

But at 40s... 20s is okay... it's just not okay at 37s... though 18 would be fine... just not at 35s... 17s would be fine then. 1/2 rule and all.

solid system, but that camera is huge! no way to get that on the front of the truck without being unsightly. I think I can. It's not that big and i have a custom grill to mount it too. I'm also going to make it removable somehow. It'll disappear into the grill and lightbar... now if I had stock gri...

Re: Apparently Toyo 37 MT are type 99 tires in bcm

Snow is such a subjective term. Are you talking snow and ice covered roads, type of snow, snow depth? My highly siped Toyo RTs are great on snow covered roads but mediocre at best in deep snow. Honestly I'd rather buy a tire for deep snow (MT outter lugs and closer inner lugs) and use chains for ice...

Yes, your spring shouldn't bend 3 times lol. Spacers bad... but it's also a cheap and easy fix.
