Re: The random 4wd shift in progress continues.

My truck gives the same 4wd shift in process message and it's getting more frequent. In the past I've just shifted into 4wd and then back to 2wd, and that seems to stop the message. It is happening more often though.

It’s just for the two drag link jam nuts and adjustment sleeve. Check to make sure yours are tight and there is no obvious thread damage and you’re good to go.
So just went out and crawled under the PW in the driveway, No apparent damage to threads but the Passenger side nut was loose.?

Re: 6th Recall WTF ?

Thanks everybody. If you guys with 2018's and 2019's can put up with it, I suppose I can too.

I will say the truck had done everything I asked of her with no complaints. By the time I hit my current PW mileage on the last chevy (2008 2500) I'll ever own, I'd probably had 10 warranty repairs.

6th Recall WTF ?

Just received my "Vehicle Health Report" by email. Says there is an "Urgent Recall" except they have no parts to fix it. WTF ? Also says the recall date was JANUARY 25. Today is February 20, and I have not received a letter like the five previous recalls. Recall says the issue can lead to a loss of ...

Re: Front Driveshaft Grease Fitting doesn't want to take grease

Thanks for the replies. As I'm still under warranty and have to go in for a U53 recall, I think I'm going to let the dealer take a look at it. No clue how to take the front driveshaft out, but I guess I'll have a look in the event I have to do it in the future. 50/50 odds the dealer won’t have a cl...

Front Driveshaft Grease Fitting doesn't want to take grease

Hi guys, On 4th oil change, at roughly 24,000 miles. Have greased front driveshaft before with no issues. Using Amsoil Lithium based grease. Have not used 4wd much at all. Tried to grease front driveshaft with 4th oil change, and have a lot of resistance to pumping grease into the fitting. used a pa...

Two more interesting finds... A friends truck that he just traded on a new F250 (had DW, needed tires - not sure what they fixed at dealer) http://www.stuckeyforyou.com/vehicle-details/2013-ram-2500-power-wagon-hollidaysburg-pa-id-22259358 And anyone want mine for $40k? Never had it happen to mine, but then again I have not traveled many washboard roads with it.

Did you grab ahold of it and wiggle it?

:excited:
How did I miss that ?

Do you have the adjustable pedal option?
Yes sir.
I believe that is an issue that only affects the vehicles with the adjustable pedals option. The whole pedal set can shake around.
Still worth having the adjustable pedals, Thanks

If it shook when you applied the brakes, it's probably the ABS kicking in. Washboard confuses the crap out of the ABS computer.
Nope. Was on gas pedal on flat road, brake pedal was shaking side to side.

Brake pedal shakes violently on washboard road ?

Was on a fairly nasty washboard road Saturday while pheasant hunting. Brake pedal shook so hard and loud I was a bit concerned.

That normal ?

This is my first solid axle fwiw.

Thanks

Re: Off and On Road Lights

Sucks there is not much available for our trucks.

Found a great deal on Amazon for the rigid grill and 30" rds bar, but called rigid and they say it won't fit on a power wagon.

Pillar mounts and the over the windshield bar are going to create a bunch of wind noise.

I'm no expert, but in my experience, any aggressive tread pattern tires need to be rotated every 5000 miles max, or cupping and uneven wear begins.
