Well don’t buy Amsoil from napa haha. I can hook you up with a dealer if you want, I think it was $12-13 a quart when I bought

This is like the correct way to get a cheap rear lift. Love my Thuren shackles. Somebody buy these.

Can you confirm if the stock wheels are 8” or 8.5” wide? (Technically, according to the stamp/boss on the inside of the wheel?)

Re: Detman Skid for sale in Canada.

That Engine/Trans skid plate is good for all gas trucks 2014-present. Good luck with the sale man! EasyDoesIt I make the skid plates, just finishing two more runs of them now but they’re pretty much already sold. I’ll be making more in the near future if shipping is prohibitively expensive, otherwis...

Re: Lost oil pressure after high-speed offroad

It’s possible the main bearings aren’t happy but there’s so many guys running these trucks with no issues that it doesn’t seem like the cause. Starving bearings would cause lower oil pressure but it wouldn’t just come back to normal after doing an oil change. Unless Amsoil really is unicorn blood, i...

Just replace your truck with a new one.
The new trucks are a downgrade in suspension for what I use my truck for. And I’d rather spend $10k in upgrade parts than $35k in a new bone stock truck.

Re: Lost oil pressure after high-speed offroad

Could be the oil pump but I wouldn’t think it would come back to pressure after an oil change. It’s consistent, if I go out right now it will have low oil pressure. I’m not thinking it’s the sending unit, I suppose it could be but it read normal after the oil change. It’s digital but it’s a 4th gen ...

Lost oil pressure after high-speed offroad

So I have now twice had my 2011 5.7 Hemi drop it’s idle and cruising oil pressure after pushing it through some whoops. Both times were running Amsoil Signature 5w-30 Or 0W-30 and both were recently. The first time we had the camper on and weren’t pushing it too hard, and this second time we were al...

Re: Bent Drag Link/ABS System Error

Wow without hitting the drag link I’m surprised it bent. I’d just expect it to move the steering, even with a power steering system you’ll get feedback. And it overcame the stock steering stabilizer. I wonder if you had a faulty drag link. I’ve taken some pretty gnarly hits and bottom-outs with my t...

Re: Bent Drag Link/ABS System Error

You bent your drag link, and not your tie rod? That’s an odd one. Bending the drag link has no affect on alignment but could trip your ABS warning due to the steering wheel position sensor seeing that you keep driving at an angle. Sending you a PM.

The sale is on the box itself, $500 off. $350 for big bearing boxes and $450 for those boxes tapped for hydro assist. They also have assist cylinders for $80 that have scratched paint (PSC zone -> garage sale). PSC said their boxes are brand new (not reman’s), have larger bearings and sector shafts,...

The rt’s kick ass for mixed use on/off road with occasional towing
Everyone has nice things to say about the RTs better wet weather traction, longer treadlife and the same carcass as the MT while being between a MT and an AT all add up really nicely for my uses.

Hey Damage, what tires are you running now?
Toyo MT’s 285/75R17 (basically 34”x11.5”)

Rocking tires. Only had one flat and that was when I broke a wheel. I’ll be getting 37’s within a few weeks, either the new Yokohama MT’s or the Toyo RT’s.

Re: 4th Gen Frame Rail Width/Height

I’ll grab measurements if I get a chance. The frame along the mid section is generally 2.125” wide I believe. I think 4.5” long 1/2” bolts was what I used when I used two 1/2” sandwich plates and a locknut to mount my prototypes. If you mount at the interface of any frame tubes it’s about 3/8” wider.

I need to resize these photos. This is the hybrid bumper I’m working on. There’s going to be a lot of small changes and will be a full bull bar option. The color of the plastic matters more than the color of the truck. Have you tried buying your own double sided tape? My tape has been long gone but I never replace it because I pull my fenders all the time, I just let the screws hold the flares

Re: Gen 3 Exhaust Manifold Removal Quesiton

My 2011 is probably identical to yours, they didn’t really change much on the engine. I easily did mine without lifting the engine. Some bolts you have to get from underneath but they’re all very accessible. I ordered some new hardware to swap them out at M8x1.25-45mm. That’s the stock length but th...
