There’s a few guys with power wagons towing air streams. BoldAdventure and aearles both travelled full time with that combo.

Re: Tires! BFG KM3 Verus Toyo MT

Don’t sign off the Duratracs for a winter tire. They work very well. STOCK, OEM supplied duratracs are absolutely terrible. The real ones you can buy anywhere are much better quality.

That’s the only option I’m aware of. There are no short or mid-tube options for 10-present trucks that bolt in. There’s options for 10-13’s that require a torch and a sledgehammer.

Re: Tires! BFG KM3 Verus Toyo MT

315’s basically are 35’s. KM3’s just came up and have not been proven at all. The tire line they are replacing is total garbage under a heavy vehicle. They’re cheaper because you’re only paying for the rubber of a 33” tire, which is what you’re getting. Someone at BFG forgot the calculation from met...

Re: Patriot Campers Off Road (PTOR) RT25 SUPERam

One look at the front suspension and I can tell you that is not performance suspension. I have yet to ever see a single Ram that is better off-road than a Power Wagon. Diesel is fun, absolutely. But if you live in America, ‘overlanding’ is driving past several fuel stations a day. We’ve got big tank...

Re: G56 Neutral Noise Question

Reminds me of my dirt bike when I’m neutral and clutch out, has a constant rattle. I believe due to the gears not being engaged any drag by the oil flow causes them to click together. This doesn’t sound like that. This sounds like a resonance coming and going. I’m with the other guys here that sound...

Re: Locker Issues....

Are you using them in dirt or asphalt? I’ve had it happen a few times the lockers don’t want to engage unless I get a moment of wheel spin in the dirt.

Also worth asking if you’ve taken any big hits on your front end or if you see odd tire wear? A bent axle is very possible and can be a factor.

Re: 14 power wagon lifter failure

I spoke with Sheridan a while back about building the 5.7 and cam swaps. I wanted low/mid torque and the owner said that unless you want high HP at mid/high RPM to stick with the stock cam, as he hasn’t seen anyone make something better than the stock cam for usual ‘truck use’. Good options for high...

Re: 2018 Power Wagon Brake Issues

If your foot is going to the floor, you almost for sure have air in your lines. Buy a Mity-Vac (even harbor freight sells them, made in USA if I remember right) and suck your brake lines. Having soft brakes is one thing, that is downright dangerous. I can still lock my brakes with 37’s. If the brake...

New Rear Bumper?

The cheap Chinese lights have a lot going for them. Same output, maybe an application of silicone to weatherproof them. I run them and have no issues. Betting the drivers, regardless of manufacturer are all made in the same plant. No. Chinese garbage is light years behind modern quality lighting. G...

Referring to your engine cooling fan? Engine fan has almost no flow beyond the ram air flow once you get above 35-40mph. You could remove the fan and run highway speeds with no notable change.

Wheels?

I know a few people that have used hand routers to open up H2 wheels with no problem. Are they not lug centric? I do not understand why the theory that Power Wagon wheels are just better is still floating around. I need to find the pictures. Except for the few years of Alcoa forged wheels, they are ...

Re: Wheels?

I run the Ultra 234’s. They came with the truck, nothing special, but for a cheap wheel they have been super tough, definitely due to how meaty the spokes are. My truck has seen a lot of desert at speed and crawling. I’ve only damaged one when I smacked a rock at 40, poked through the sidewalk and s...

Re: Strange A/C Problem

I would not expect it to be speed dependent but the 3rd gens have their blend doors break and it’s possible outside air is blowing over your heater core. No clue why throttle would have anything to do with AC response. 17F is freakishly cold for auto AC, I didn’t think you could get it to go below f...
