You know vehicles have become too gimmicky when a freakin seat belt can cause a fire.....

Re: 2020 Ram 2500 Power Wagon spied

The radius arms look identical to me. The rear control arms and brackets look identical. Skid plates and crossmember look identical. The CAD housing looks changed, I see the damper bracket but not the arc of the cast CAD housing. When they made the 3/4th gen split they only changed the body and a f...

Re: 2018 Power Wagon issues

I have had the master certified 5 star tech work on the truck. However ALL he did and the service teams prior have done is reload software and read codes. Drive it for 40miles declare it fixed and demand I pick it up. Then it acts up for me shortly after picking it up. They claim they try to shift ...

Re: New truck ordered 2018

I am assuming this is one of 5 Million reasons they are shutting down Mexican operations. Delivering product will be a lot faster and cheaper when you do not have to deal with cross border logistics from Mexico. This is also why some believe the new trucks from Mexico have issues. The workers know ...

Re: Towing Capacity

See how it does on our first trip when loaded, but I couldn't even tell the trailer was behind me towing it home. Crazy how easy it towed. That’s great to hear. I wouldn’t doubt it. My little trailer doesn’t even effect MPG on my truck. But it’s a little hard side pop up doesn’t hurt because it has...

Re: 2018 Power Wagon issues

I am thinking of buying one within the next year. I truly hope this is just a case of bad luck with this one. I know it's gotta suck having all those issues with a brand new truck. I'm like Numbnuts though. When I hear stories like this, it really makes me hesitant to spend close to 50k on a truck ...

Re: 2018 Power Wagon issues

2018 here. Ive had the B/U cam issue. After I park the truck and return, it starts working again. I think it has to do with it getting locked up or “lost” whenever there’s a “irregular” initial connection to car play. But I really don’t know, its just my personal anecdotal evidence. I’ve had the vol...

Re: Towing Capacity

Thanks for all the replies. We ended up signing papers for a toy hauler yesterday. Dry weight is 6373 lbs and GVWR is 9985 lbs. I was wanting to keep it under 10,000 so this should work. My SXS is around 1800 lbs so I should have around another 1800 lbs to get up to max (I better never get to max)....

Re: Recall done

Took mine in last Monday morning for the recalls, They had it done by the afternoon but I also had it in for a squeak/chirp in the rear end. So I had to ride with the service advisor to confirm said squeak/chirp. It’s still in the shop.......

Re: Recall done

I don't know how much I will use it, but I want the Hill Descent Control to work on my truck. That is a fix on the 2018 trucks with the cruise control recall. It is 1.5 hours to the nearest dealer. One won't return my messages. The other can't get me in for about a month. What issue do you have wit...

Re: Power Wagon Picture Thread

Well, I’ve been a lurker and occasional poster for awhile. Finally got my 2018 Power Wagon back in November of 17. just now posting because I couldn’t get on the new site. But with a little help I’m finally back on. Been busy using the beast with a trip to Florida and the Grand Canyon , and...

Re: Need to be talked into, or out of purchasing a new PW

Y'all are making me feel guilty for wanting something I don't need. Here's the deal. This is a highly subjective topic. Just get whatever YOU WANT within your budget (which includes cost of ownership). Doesn't matter what anyone says on here. Its your money, your life, your wants. Whenever you have...

Re: Any Ordering Advice

Been watching some videos and learning. As far as t case lever, never had any problem on my Titan, but that being said a stick looks better and is more comforting from a reliability stand point. Things like self driving tech that the Raptor has would be nice, 360 degree cameras, upfitter swtiches, ...

Re: Any Ordering Advice

After a stimulating 5 hrs at a stealership(while sick) I have a contract on a PW. As usual they were desperate not to order one. They found in in Old Mexico at the factory and I tried to convince them that no dealer would order such a well appointed wagon with such a cool color. And as I entered fi...

Re: Raptor vs. Power Wagon vs. ZR2

Rapturd might be a good PreRunner truck but the big ole PW did pretty good with these high speed runs. (See video) They got some particularly good air in some jumps during this photo shoot as well.

Re: Raptor vs. Power Wagon vs. ZR2

Raptor owners are imploding, it's hysterical reading the replies on that forum. Everything from 'incorrect tire pressure' to 'Ram rigged the testing' is being discussed. Why is it such a controversy, the Raptor lost to two vehicles with better approach, breakover, and departure angles. Not only tha...

Re: Raptor vs. Power Wagon vs. ZR2

Just wait for the TRX... Ram will have the off-road truck market cornered between it and the PW. I know several Raptor owners who will trade their weed-whacker trucks in the second the TRX is available. Ford will have to put a V8 (Coyote?) back in their truck to be competitive. Don't get me wrong, ...
