Re: Not turning over
It's honestly good that it won't start and not an intermittent issue. All you need is a test light and a helper to turn the key. If the test light illuminates on the small terminal when cranking and the battery is good you need a starter. If not, I would suspect a bad WCM (ignition switch) which has...

Re: Issue after latest recall
Part of this recall is to initialize the abs module after flashing the orc. 9 trucks out of 10 can be done without it. But it literally takes another 30 seconds to do. The tech is either lazy or didn't read the recall document properly.

Re: Parasitic Drain?
Acceptable limit is 35 milliamperes. Normally when I test a vehicle that has an acceptable draw it's less than 20. What method are you using to test for a draw. The reason I ask is that newer vehicles do take quite a while for all the modules to go to sleep but not usually more than 10 minutes. Lisl...

Re: Help with Air Conditioning (broken line)
I have found that when it comes to heater cores and evaporators nothing fits like OEM. I've never price shopped aftermarket cores but if the price difference isn't crazy I'd stay OEM.

Just pinch off the hoses, you might lose a quart or two.

One more thing, label your hvac connectors so when you disassemble the housing you know where to put them back.

Re: Help with Air Conditioning (broken line)
No special tools required. When you disconnect the coolant hoses try not to crush the heater core tubes if you're planning on reusing it. I would strongly consider replacing it too. And take your time with all the connectors so you don't break the locks. You might spend more time than 3 hours since ...

Re: Help with Air Conditioning (broken line)
Removing the dash is not as bad as it looks. Remove center cup holder assembly, remove 4wd shifter for more room, remove the two bolts going forward into the floor, remove the glove box, remove right and left kick panels, unplug connectors behind right kick panel, remove column shrouds, wiring from c...

Re: Code 0420...already replaced the O2 sensor
You might try replacing the other O2 sensor on that bank. Sometimes one new and one old will cause the problem because the new one reads so much faster than the old and the computer sees this as an efficiency problem. Also be sure that you don't have any exhaust leaks at the manifold or flange. Usua...

Re: Homemade Old School Plug and Play Locker Bypass
According to service information from late 2012 through 2017 the resistance should be 60.4 ohms +/- 1%. Hope this helps.

Hood light/upper glovebox light
Well I went to check under the hood a few nights ago and realized I couldn't see a thing. I didn't have a flashlight with me and thought it would be nice to have an under hood light. I thought back and remembered a recall on 2011 1500's that were shipped without a hood light but were supposed to hav...

Re: Valve rattle.
Just curious, what spark plugs did you install? Could it be pinging under load? Are you sure your noise at startup isn't broken exhaust bolts? Just spitballing here. As far as the oil leakage goes that could definitely ruin a coil boot or the coil if it's bad enough.

Re: Head Gasket
Might check all your pushrods and make sure you didn't have one slip out from under the rocker arm. I've also had one miss the lifter yet look like it was in the hole. The pushrods can be tricky to install even with the special tools to hold them in place. I started rolling the engine over by hand w...

I would like your stock suspension parts. If you could get me a shipping quote to a business at 51566 in Iowa I would appreciate it. If you don't want the hassle of shipping all that I completely understand. Thanks
