Re: Transmission troubles HELP
Wasn't there a recall on the solenoid pack back in the day? I have a 2016 with the 6spd Auto and thought there was some sort of recall performed on my truck. Might look into that too...

Re: Lights Out!
My 3rd brake light breaks like that when water gets in there. I figured that out by the stain on my head liner. I just replaced the bulb with an LED bulb from the auto parts store and put some 3M foam gasket around the lens to stop the water infiltration. I guess this is a common Ram problem. Mine i...

Re: Help. My power wagon doesn’t always start
My 2016 was doing something similer. But it was at about 65,000-68,000 miles. It was the starter. It happened every once in a while and I would keep hitting the button and it would adventually start. When I puched the button I would just get a click sound. Then it quickly got worse until I got stran...

I have these same tires on my 2016 and no rubbing. Not sure if it's any different on a 19.

Re: Towing 8K lb trailer, Air Bags w/Cradles or WDH?
I think there is only one way to know. Hook it up! I have a No Boundaries 19.1 toy hauler. It's UVW is much lower than yours but the unloaded hitch weight seems about the same your talking. It's 720 hitch weight empty. By the time you add the 30gal fresh water, propane, all the crap in the front sto...

Re: Maximum Steel
My 16 Laramie PW is Maximum Steel. Looks really nice when it's clean. I get a lot of compliments on it. I think the flake looks blue and gives the truck a blue hue in the sun but my wife says it's charcoal gray. I think she just likes to argue. I've only seen a couple 1500's around Colorado in this ...

Re: 2018 Power Wagon Brake Issues
Mine is a '16. I have gone off on a rant before on here. Sorry. I now have a little over 62k miles on it. The brakes have been the worst I have ever had on any vehicle ever. Even a 1968 AMC. If I am sitting at a stop I can easily push the peddle to the floor. I have bled them several times. I've hea...

Re: Tonneau Cover Recommendation
I went with the diamondback. They have two different guage metal. I thought getting the heavey guage would mean it would last longer and it may outlast the truck, but holy crap is it heavy! Unless you plan to put atv's or something on top, I would go with the lighter version. My dad has the lighter ...

Re: WK Sliders - To diamond plate or not?
I chose the thicker walled tubing, diamond plate & factory powder coating. They work great for steps. You get used to them being narrow vs a real step. I've got over 53,000 miles on mine and would do it the same again. A little bit of brown (rust?) discoloration around the bolts that are holding dow...

Re: Ever get in a shoot out with terrorists and need to launch your rocket pack?
Made me cringe! Who pulls out their pistol and puts their hand over the end of the barrel. I stopped watching there. I carry every day and I wonder if he has ever fired a gun or if his whole act is a gimmick to make money. Someday he will be on one of those videos of "what not to do" when he shoots...

Re: 2018 Power Wagon Brake Issues
Mine has done this since day 1. It's a 16 and I have had more than 1 panic stop in Denver shit traffic and in the mountains where I wasnt sure I was going to stop. To the floor! I've had several dealers look at it an all they did was visual inspection and said all is good. B.S. I told them to drive ...

Re: Max tire size
I have a 2016 Laramie with GY Duratrac 35/12.50r17 E rated on stock wheels and there is no rub. I can even fit my tire chains. I think both the Duratrac & BFG's run smaller than their indicated size and are more like 34's when they are new. I believe some of the manufacturers are actually 35" like m...

Re: Auto Shipping
I just had my wife's car shipped from Las Vegas to Denver for $495 on open trailer. The company was JP Auto Transport. The Salesperson was Gerald Nicolas. His # 954-510-9251. Everything worked great. They are based out of Florida. I had to give them a credit card for $95 upfront and paid the drive t...

Thank you fbenross. I've never paid for any extended warranty before and probably never will on anything else. I hope to take my grand kids hunting/fishing in it in 20 or 30 years. There are so many parts and electric components, we decided to do it this one time. Your scout is beautiful! Great job!...

Hello, I cannot comment much on your question regarding which years to watch out for. I thought I would comment more on the 2016 you mentioned. I purchased a 2016 about a month ago. Laramie & loaded with every option except Ram Box & Clearance lights. That means dual alternators, sunroof and everyth...
