Re: Coil bucket/shock mounts mod

You can really break shit with properly valved 2.5's. Why would you need more? Now a cantilever setup, that's quite different as you're adding travel but write a blank check.

I know I can break my truck with the current 2.5 stage 5's. I haven't attempted it yet but it's really tempting.

Re: more exhaust talk

Kinneys would charge you $500+ for those 'true duals' you don't need. I'd just install a magnaflow single in/out choosing a length for the sound that pleases you. I would recommend finding a reputable local shop and going with a longer length than the mufflex (since you've already cut the resonator ...

Re: Pennzoil Ultra Platinum rebate (for guys with the 6.4l)

I've run three vehicles to over 200k miles on amsoil signature series 0w-30 and now 0w40. That's with 10-15k mile oil change and mobil 1 filters. 56k miles on the '16 PW, no problems and I don't expect any unless there was a factory defect. I'm probably past that period. I expect 200k out of the hem...

Re: Steering Braces

Everyone I've ever heard of who's installed a steering brace said the pitman arm nut is loose. I torqued mine down good along with the draglink nuts when I first brought the truck home.

Re: Power Wagon Does not Make It

Mr. Powerwagon, Nathan was a bit humbled and not too happy about that. That line and loose rock was better suited to the lighter trucks. He could have applied power and made it up by destroying the trail. Larger (MT) tires would have also helped. And the PW will do this over, and over, and over agai...

Re: Exhaust Help

If so, you're probably the first person to rid yourself of the rear resonator and have a good sounding, zero drone exhaust system for a 6.4l hemi Ram 2500.

Re: 10mm Doubles

That's a lot of money and still needs a good bit of smithing to get it to run right. Makes me want to go out and buy an off the shelf Ed Brown ;). I guess it's the satisfaction of building it yourself that really matters.

Luke Bryan's Hunting Fishing Everday Truck

No words required, other than his shootin' at cans, downwind, while he's deer hunting with 100 grain bullets song that make zero sense. Who writes this guys music? Supposedly he grew up on a farm. Is that all BS? http://www.foxnews.com/auto/2017/10/31/luke-bryan-designed-chevy-silverado-for-huntin-a...

Re: Yellowranger1's Blue Wagon

I hear ya, life gets in the way then months go by... try airing your tires air down to 35-40 psi (if they're E rated) see if that has an effect on the wobble. If that doesn't check it, it's probably the crappy stock steering damper going south.

Typical AEV. Looks awesome, corners cut everywhere else. Props for making a nodular iron rear diff cover that works and front that was a waste of money due to sorry (but it looks awesome!) r&d.

Re: 2012 or 2017??

The newer truck electronics both suck and are great depending on how you look at it. The interior is night and day. I sat in a '17 wagon a few weeks ago, black headliner, molding, seats, the seals (noise deadening) are night and day. A 3500 Cummins can accommodate all the go fast and hard off-road g...

Re: Diesel PW Build Thread

Ah yes, the high bolster. Not a problem for a low slung vehicle you're pulling yourself UP and out of but a truck yes I could see...that would be a big problem. I may try the lighter shock oil. Did Don recommend the Amsoil shock therapy brand oil? I know there's a lot of debate regarding brands and ...

Yeah just joking. However I'm still waiting on my king shocks to be a million times better and am a little bitter about it.
Yeah... but didn't you buy 2.0's ??
The 2.0+5 models...2.5's. I'd estimate they are 5 times better :)

You need some of these. I've also heard of clamping some rubber sheathing around the shock tube itself for rock deflection. Pretty cool that you were able to use the existing shims in another configuration. I'm nowhere near hitting my bumps either. I've bombed some stuff really hard they just soak i...

Re: Exhaust Help

I've been running the mufflex muffler swap (the $300 one) and you can't hear it inside the truck. You can hear it when I floor it but otherwise it's as quiet as stock inside the vehicle. It's perfect for me but others may find it too quiet.

I'll let people that have used them before respond but be advised, only one will work with the smartbar in the way...the single side mount DOR brand and from what I've heard they are a bit lacking in QC.

I have a Pelican 65qt. What a waste of money. It weighs a ton empty and may keep ice a day longer than my 150 quart coleman extreme which will keep ice for about 4 days in Texas heat. I've been wanting to try the Orion brand. They have a bottle opener on every corner, great selling point

Re: Header bolts

I had stage 8's locking bolts reusing the stock gaskets for 100k miles and never had a leak or needed to retighten the header bolts. They work. Highly recommended to alleviate future leaks. Small cost for extra insurance.

If the stock gaskets are steel they can be reused.

Re: Reloaderguy's Mod Thread

I removed my smartbar last night. I can't even describe how much better the truck feels. With Stage 5 Kings it's definitely not required unless you're maybe towing a large trailer at max (which I never do) and was the cause of my floaty, bobbing feeling at speed. Removing it corrected every disappoi...

Need help from you guys making a decision

From this morning news: Several Democrats used the massacre to push for new restrictions, and House Speaker Paul D. Ryan (R-Wis.) asserted Tuesday that Republican leaders have no plans to advance a bill, which passed a House committee last month, that would make it easier to buy gun silencers. It wo...

I'm more concerned with the hearing protection act passing so I can get a suppressor for my recently acquired Kimber adirondack 308. I didn't want to waste $200 on a tax stamp and a six month wait if it was going to pass. The democrats are all over it now. They're too dumb to realize without subsoni...
