Re: Rear Shock Question

With the Thuren front spring only. It's the correct length stock, as is the front track bar. You don't need the entire kit. Thuren rear springs and swar bar links, and Kings should be going on tomorrow or Tuesday. This is true. I ran Thuren springs and stock Bilsteins for some time..maybe 5k miles....

Make sure the front Boogies are shoved as far away from the brake lines as possible, they sit CLOSE
I pushed my stage 5 kings last weekend and thr boogies never had an issue. I mounted the fronts as far rearward as possible.

Re: Rear Shock Question

True dat. I've owned four vehicles with stock spec'd ranchos and they were all done within 40k miles. My bilsteins were just starting to fade when I swapped them at 50k.

You're going to hear a lot of this bs in the near future. I'm under the belief they want to prohibit firearms purchases to anyone who has even had a misdemeanor conviction. There are more denials now than ever on NICS check for misdemeanor offenses and it's up to the individual to file an appeal and...

If Colibri wants to use my truck as a project truck I'll let him tear it limb from limb to hardwire my lockers. At this point f-the warranty. If it works he can take PWJousters final offer money, do his, and everybody will be happy

What valving did you get Mikekey? I'm finding that valving is everything no matter if you have 2'' or 5'' :-) shocks. I also ordered the piggyback rears. At stage 5 front mine have SUPER fast rebound. So fast it feels like it's undulating down the highway. But when I hit a huge bump at 70mph across ...

Re: Thuren 3.0 KING on 2018 Powerwagon!

It's a solid front axle truck. No getting around that. If you bought a PW thinking it would handle and drive like a IFS truck (or your sports car) forget it. The solid front axle is very strong but it's heavy. With the right spring and shock combo it can deal with rough terrain and road conditions b...

Re: Thuren 3.0 KING on 2018 Powerwagon!

You'll be able to 'explore' a lot with those dampers including tearing up anything on roads made for common vehicles. I'm on full thuren springs, boogies, trackbars f/r, and king stage 5 front/4 rear. After 10k miles they are starting to break in and getting very, very smooth..

I've been looking at the low pressure lights so long now I'm used to it. Temp changes affect pressure 10-15lbs.

I run my 35's at 30r/35f psi and they're wearing perfectly. I'll probably get 50k miles out of these cooper stt pros.

You have to plant that 700hp on a good track to make those numbers which requires suspension modifications and ideal weight transfer. 9 second camaros and mustangs aren't the norm for most folks, just the ones promoting their businesses and making youtube videos.

Re: Thuren 1/2” Front Coil Springs For $250 (roughly 5k miles)

I can try to answer the last two questions because I ran them with stock bilsteins for awhile. IMO, they're best option for a slight lift, improved ride and they work just fine with the stock shocks. If you go with the 1.5'' lift thuren springs I would recommend aftermarket shocks. I swapped back an...

This is scary...the 'crimp-fit' tierod end came apart. You say you checked all the steering components so just fyi. The first thing they noticed was a front end clunk. I see vehicles every day pogo-ing and floating down the road and think..why don't you just replace your shocks??? It's fairly cheap (depending) and probably the most important component for ride quality, not to mention SAFETY. Your stock shocks are worn at 50k. I've made it a habit to replace shocks...

If I recall...it's been a few years lol there's an 'activator' or hardener along with the adhesive. If you just use the adhesive it's worthless. It's a two-part epoxy adhesive for glass to metal.

I had the EXACT same problem since I once removed my resonator then had it re-welded further towards the bumper for looks/clearance. Removing the upper trackbar bolt is impossible if you readjust the resonator. It hangs down so low like that in the stock location for clearance. I took a ratchet stra...

It was all over the front bump stops offroad as was his suspension stock. He just sold it and purchased a new F250 powerstroke and plans to go full...
