Re: 2020 Power Wagon - Spied

The transmission programming on mine was terrible. When they did the 5 recalls, reflashed everything it's like a different truck. I don't even feel shifts now, it will hold at 35mph in 3rd gear, and downshifts with just a light blip of the throttle. It was so bad with the factory tune.

Think a lot of it has to do with tuning. Torque management programming plays a big part of it.
I agree no doubt the tune is part of the problem.

Re: 2020 Power Wagon - Spied

I'm sure the 5.13's and that stage 2 545rfe/3k stall makes a huge difference. I'd like to find a stock dyno chart from the 6.4l truck motor, compare that with the stock 5.7l truck motor. I think weight plays a large part and the gears make a big difference but would like to see the difference in cam...

Whoa what? Same ratios?

65RFE:
1st = 3.000
2nd = 1.667
2nd prime = 1.500
3rd = 1.000
4th = 0.750
5th = 0.667
Reverse = -3.000

66RFE:
1st = 3.231
2nd = 1.837
3rd = 1.410
4th = 1.000
5th = 0.816
6th = 0.625
Reverse = -4.444

Sounds like a plan. Too bad we can’t pull the doors and roof off our trucks [emoji23].

The new 1500's are so refined it's crazy. If I was blindfolded and someone told me I was in a body on frame vehicle I'd never believe it. They are amazing trucks.

Re: Performance out of the 10-13 5.7 hemi?

It's not even in the same class as the powerwagon. You're absolutely right it's not even half the truck. But the 8speed is amazing. However with the 20'' wheels I'm averaging 15.3 mpg with evo on. My wagon with 35's averages 12.5 with evo off. I've had the truck a few days now and the mpg isnt that ...

Re: Performance out of the 10-13 5.7 hemi?

My trucks at the dealer having five recalls done and they gave me 2019 1500 loaner. The 8 speed transmission is such an improvement.

This thing is rocket. The 8 speed transmission is the ticket. The older rams need 5.x diff gearing. Hell the newer 66/68RFE's too.

PWJouster's Build - 2018 Power Wagon

I have amber covers on two of my D2's. I guess it depends on conditions but that's all the amber I'd need. IO have separate lo/high switches for both sets of D2's and another set of switches for the main LED bar. Yeah, I'm at work so I'm editing and working lol. I think I've done exactly what you're...

Re: PWJouster's Build - 2018 Power Wagon "TrailWhale"

I don't get the whole ADAPT thing.. however if you want to have that kind of control...degrees of light are degrees of light and lumens dependent mainly on reflector and LED type. You want a flood/spot/superspot (for 100mph driving offroad :D ). The D2's provide massive flood and driving. Another sm...

Diff fluid change? Rookie help.

Personally I’d never use anything to ‘clean’ the inside. Thats what diff fluid is for. If it’s dirty change it. If it’s still dirty change it again. There’s no filter so you wouldn’t want to introduce any foreign particulate. I don’t see a problem with the q-tip cleaning of the magnet. I’ve never n...

It’s an LSD but a helical style, not clutchpack style so the additive isn’t necessary.

Stock steel wheels. I know... it’s an 11-13 year truck but for illustration purposes.

Re: Power Wagon Picture Thread

Man the white paint still shines on your truck. You shouldn't really have to but a deezee heavyweight bed mat would take care of that gouging. I have a drop in liner so loads slide and the HD bed mat provides grip but it's so thick nothing can gouge it.

Yes sir we are. I’ve lived in both Round Rock and just moved back up north from New Braunfels last May. It’s nice this year without the anxiety of whats in the game cameras. What buck am I missing. Are the feeders full, are they working, etc. I love the actual deer hunting, dressing it, and especial...

Possible camp out in central Texas?

I’d love to join you guys. I’m sitting out deer season this year partly due to cost and partly because I’ve missed the last 4-5 football seasons. It appears to have been a good plan because UT is having a winning season! I think I miss the hanging out with good friends around the campfire drinking b...

I'd much prefer something like this that allows for bed space while also carrying a spare.
