Re: Kill-switch for electronic nannies

Have you noticed that after using ABS bypass, that you brakes seem better on road?
I made a similar bypass set up on mine, and after turning the ABS system back on, my brakes seem to be more responsive, almost stronger.

Re: Portable Air Compressor

I used to have a Viair 400c mounted in a .50 Cal ammo can. It also contained a 25'air hose, 15' power cable with 50AMP quick disconnects. This made it nice and portable and fit the RAMBBOX nicely. For Christmas, my wife got me the Viair Heavy Duty OBA Kit (400C, 2.5 gal tank), so I decided to rebuil...

Re: Airlifter 5000 Ultimate airbags w/ Daystar cradles '14+

I would leave the spacer off if I were to do it again, it seems to hit the built in snubbers to easily, otherwise it works great. Currently planning an OBA system to inflate the bags so I can inflate in cab, instead of using the Schrader valves.

Yeah the Las Vegas Shooting is leaving a lot of questions here, the theory's area all over the place. They have already started the Gun Control rhetoric just hours after the shooting. I vote pew pew parts as well.

I have seen it when I disconnect my trailer when the ignition is still on. Turn the truck off and then back on, it should go away.

Re: Transmission question

When coming down the hills, I would keep it in 2 or 3, and then take it back to 6 and it will still hold the low gears, until I took it out of the Tow/Haul Mode. Even then it took a little while to shift up.

Re: Transmission question

Yes, if you take it out of the Tow/Haul mode, it will help. I just went through the same thing towing my Jeep on a 20' trailer (just about the same combined weight of 14K) to and from Big Bear Forest Fest. The compression braking really helps to save the brakes, but gets annoying when you want it to...

Re: Trans recall

I have just check my VIN through the Mopar site and no recall was listed. Although about a month ago while getting an oil change at the dealer, they replaced a transmission solenoid because supposedly my trans was slipping.

Re: 2017 Wandering/Pulling to Right

Mine was doing the same thing. I took it to the dealer and they said it had a "Radial Pull" and rotated the tires and the problem mostly went away. I took it to a closer dealer for an oil change and they rotated the tires and guess what, it came back. Needless to say I had them rotate it back and th...

They were out on the Logandale Trail System, on the Shetter Trail, and part of Bronco Falls. You are right, it is on the back side of the Valley of Fire. Every year on the week end after SEMA my off-road club puts on an annual event called Hump & Bump. There are a lot of various trails, most cater t...

Re: Help with Health and off-road vehicle Insurance

I believe that as long as you are not competing in an race or organized competition, you should be covered. I help to run / organize an off road event in Southern Nevada Hump & Bump) every year, and the few vehicles that have rolled over have all been covered by their insurance companies. The one co...

Re: Radio problems

I agree with the randomness. I don't know if its a loose connection or what. I thought it was a loose connection, because it seem to happen over rough roads or hard cornering while driving, until it happen while sitting in my driveway. Now I don't know. I do know a trip to the dealer is in my future...

Radio problems

Has anybody had problems with their radio automatically switching from your selected audio source( Sirus, USB plug in for phone, or even FM Radio) to your current FM channel, but sound only coming from the left front speaker and then switching back like a second later? My 2016 PW is doing this rando...

Re: What to do when you see a abandonned car on the trail?

I found an abandoned car on a Toy's for Tots run last year in my Jeep in Las Vegas. We called the local LEOs and they asked us to drag it to the trail head, because they couldn't get to it. They came and got the VIN and found out later that that vehicle was Evidence in a murder investigation. So do t...
