Re: Recall done

Funny my 2005 Titan did that for years. I took it to the shop and they tell me its exhaust manifold leaks. I am like you are crazy. But sure enough it caused some sort of glitch with the cruise control. Could not believe it.

Re: Recall done
Just checked on mine via the mopar site and the tailgate popped up with the cruise. Of course it says the parts are not available. :D Sure they will give me issues because I have the DeZee shock to keep the tailgate in check.
No, the DeZee wont be a problem at all. However will voi...

Re: New truck ordered 2018

I am assuming this is one of 5 Million reasons they are shutting down Mexican operations. Delivering product will be a lot faster and cheaper when you do not have to deal with cross border logistics from Mexico.

Re: grill guard

Additionally grill guards destroy your truck in a crash. Caving into the front end. Better to save for a nice bumper instead as was mentioned.

Re: Recall done

Thats interesting, never even tried it. Lost its luster 13 years ago when I bought an Xterra. It was cool to hang out the door going down major slick rock in Moab.......After that I realized how ridiculous it really is. Not as bad as crawl control on the 2015 Four Runner which 100% does not work bec...

Re: 10 Things to Love and 10 Things to Hate

I like things from the factory to start out right. Now I will say the Fourrunner outlet is a POS and wont really run the cooler. I only have the ARB outlet in my 1996 Montero right now. That is part of the problem with the Fourrunner. It will be 20K plus to get it on the better trails. It needs EVER...

Re: Frustration...

I would not touch an XD. Notice those problems are all with that stupid Diesel? Nissan flopped on the new model role out regardless of the useless XD model, and got me to move down the road. Like Toyota, they will just bury there heads in the sand saying we don't want trucks.

Re: Frustration...

This is why the PW is my FIRST American car ever. Never had major issues on a Japanese truck under warranty, except my 05 Xterra which blew a rear diff with a known design flaw that they denied.(but fixed on the assembly line asap) and had a nasty radiator failure that wiped out transmissions....( f...

Re: Best Build Decision? Leather....

Well got the 35" KM3s on yesterday. Just now got the spare put in,( could not wait all day on Discount Tire) damn that is a bitch fitting a 35 back there! 35s still seem small, but mine is a daily driver for work. However it feels completely different. Its feels as if 35s were the size tire the truc...

Curious how you know you have a lifter starting to fail? Appearing like a common issue. Mine is starting to rattle like a Diesel when cold, always has but is getting worse. 18K miles

Re: Finally got new tires for the 16.

I agree running my Duratrash at 40PSI after having 6 flats in Colorado on gravel roads, plus more on my road to my house, and not only have I not had another flat but they ride and handle better. Nervously twitching as I wait for my new tires.

Vintage? Seriously. Must be due to low production numbers. If 2008 is vintage, what does that make us?

Re: Best Build Decision? Leather....

If you go on so much as a gravel road you will get flats. I will say that having 65 wagon wheel PSI in your tires will accelerate the collapse of these tires. They last longer at about 35PSI or so. At 65 PSI its brutal riding off-road as well. My issue is the dealer is doing my oil changes(free) and...

Re: 10 Things to Love and 10 Things to Hate

I can get 18 on the highway. But combined average is around 14. I drive up a mtn to get home. I look at it this way, if they reduced weight it would also be more capable off-road. Its not just about MPG. My wife's 2015 Four runner opens the garage door perfectly every time. Mine barely opens it and ...
